eleganceislearned Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Yeah, I can't stand MR, but a lot of people (seemingly non-fans) really like it. The only time I liked it was when she did it at the Superbowl (vocals were heavenly )
Tovitov Posted January 13 Posted January 13 4 minutes ago, Aden said: From a commercial perspective I get this argument but from a career narrative perspective, MR was a vital turning point for Gaga's relationship with the public and could be considered "premier" in that regard. The Superbowl performance shooting the song up to #4 was a sign that the public was clicking with Gaga's talents again after years of post-ARTPOP image cleansing. It was MR that pulled in that expanded audience that made ASIB a colossal smash, her Vegas residencies hits, and her first stadium tour a success. And it's shown incredible longevity pulling a healthy 300k+ daily streams 7 years after release. It's safe to call Million Reasons a Gaga classic. Coincidentially, I heard MR while buying a bagel this morning. Weddings, funerals, graduations, talent shows, bagel shops. I kid you not, I was grocery shopping the other day and a dance remix of Million Reasons came on 2
Sombre Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I cannot wait for a new Gaga era. The unreal hype hours before the release, the music video buzz, the influx of reaction videos, (hopefully) the live performances. 3
Rhiannon Posted January 13 Posted January 13 The experience of hearing DWUW, MR and ROM for the first time was enough to stan this woman for ever I fear The versatility ! 2

I kinda feel too old to be stanning so hard but I just know I’ll switch once she drops the first teaser 3

Perfect Illusion flopped but remain a masterpiece. Stupid Love on the other hand is an atrocious awful cheap song that is a disgrace for her discography 1 1

DonnieDarko Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) Million Reasons just doesn’t do it for me, it never did. However the gp loved the song and they are the ones that pushed it to more than 700M streams already, which is very good tbh. Re Perfect Illusion - the song is 6/10 for me but the video is great. I love it. It fits the theme, the mood. She looks great too. Edited January 13 by DonnieDarko 1

Girl No. Joanne wishes to have the artistry direction that Venus alone had and even Gipsy which is a controversial song (apparently) does a better job at encapsulating whatever vibe Gaga was going after with Joanne
DonnieDarko Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) And as an ARTPOP fan, I really have to admit that it sounds very tiring in 2024. I loved it to death but now it’s just too, idk, loud? Joanne, while far more boring and uneventful to me, due to the acoustic sound, is more pleasant to a casual listener. Although Venus, GUY, Applause and DWUW are out of reach for any Joanne song. satnosaint Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I wonder who made the decision to change all the production. This demo sounds cooler and the free woman too 😭. What if there are versions of the other songs that sound like this.

I would like to get the demo as an official release (a b side maybe?). The demo was created by Gaga and BloodPop and Burns turned it into the final version. As for Free Woman - the demo was created by Gaga and BloodPop and then Klahr changed it to what was released.
Miracle Posted January 13 Posted January 13 After doing some research, Ms.Gaga actually was at Shangri-La when she posted the story dressed in Versace back on December 5th. Andrew Watt was in Shangri-La on December 17th With Andrew Watt following Gaga and BURNS in June I think we can be sure that she's at the very least working on this album since last summer 3

Lol even the mic in the selfie everyone said Gaga was behind workout equipment (lol) has the exact same microphone there is on the left of the Shangri-La picture. Edited January 13 by Miracle 3 1
ViviLittleM Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Maybe she's releasing Traumatica Ball Movie when the lead single of LG7 drops 1 1
Freaky Prince Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I'm yet to decide on how to feel about Andrew Watt, because baby this is unseasoned chicken in audio form: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Watt_(record_producer)#Discography
Miracle Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) I'm sorry but if the album was coming out in Spring 2025 Gaga wouldn't have spent (for now) two months between Henson Studios and Shangri-La. Lead coming February album coming this spring Edited January 13 by Miracle 3
