Wednesday 2 starts filming in April of this year so that's probably not coming out until 2025. But it might get a boost with J:FaD (it might get better October updates than this year which further cements it as a bigger Halloween classic) and then it could get a third wind in 2025 when season 2 comes out.

You could even say that about ARTPOP. Instead of going full EDM she mixed it with pop. AP does go hard in some parts, but it could have went even harder if it wasn’t tied to pop. But that is her brand to always include pop. “Pop music will never be low brow”

 

Yeah, I agree with the last sentence here. I think this will probably always be a criticism that follows because all of her albums are thematically and musically different but always infused with pop music. Even if we get the rock album that is always being speculated about, it will still likely be heavily influenced by pop and dance music rather than full-blown rock. The only time she does a different genre in a traditional way is her jazz records.

I mean, yeah. I also got disappointed a few more times, but usually I understood her + her team's "side". This time, though, there is literally no reason why they didn't release the film yet.

Streamers don't want concert films. It was in the articles about the Tay and Bey concert films. They don't see value in them to attract subscribers. I also don't think there is theatrical demand for a Chromatica concert film, even Bey's low key flopped despite it being a massive tour. It's very obvious why it was never released.
