Is there a chance she's bound by J:FAD's promo run to not speak on politics? :gaycat6: From a moral standpoint, it will be insufferable seeing her campaign for Biden after everything that happened this year. From a commercial standpoint, it will seriously affect her popularity with younger generations, which has massively increased in these past few years. Hopefully they are at least aware of that.

I think her staying silent on the Israel-Palestine situation could possibly be a favourable sign that she's gonna stay silent when it comes to political arguments as well during the JFAD promo, if she enters in the Oscars race, I have the sensation she's gonna be very careful this time in everything she says.

It won't. Everyone will **** on Biden/his campaigners until it comes down to election day and there's another threat of a Republican presidency where the youth will fall in line like they did for 2020 and 2022. It's very standard and "cool" to virtue signal against incumbents or pretend to not care about institutions a year before, but everyone ultimately falls along a line when election day arrives. A majority of Americans are simply not super conservative or super liberal and simply will not care that deeply who campaigns for Biden as much as virtue-signaling internet addicts will.

She's also a literal member of his administration. She's going to campaign for him at least once.

Biden has rightfully lost a lot of support out of condoning the atrocities that are being done by Isreal in Palestine. She did also mostly stay silent regarding Ukraine's invasion, so maybe it really is her modus operandis now and doesn't necessarily mean she's not against it.

I don't think this is the same as when people were all uniting to get Trump out of office though. Just check the comments on her social media pages, staying silent is already affecting her image, surely supporting Biden would have an effect.

I wish she wasn't part of the administration. :ace: Does that really require her to campaign?

I wish she wasn't part of the administration, yeah.

Biden hasn't condoned what's happening in Palestine, and his admin has been tugging Netanyahu for dragging out the war.

There aren't as many commentators anymore and internet randos in her comments are not a good barometer of how young people actually feel about her, because her streaming stats in a hiatus year say they like her pretty well. Social media isn't always real life.

Wym U.S. is selling Israel weapons and vetoing the UN ceasefire. But this discussion is probably best left for other threads.

I agree that she's doing great on streaming and her popularity among younger generations has very obviously increased, I think that has a lot to do with social media, though, which is a part of real life, not some outside inconsequential realm, though I get that a lot of times it's not representative of other parts of life.

Also even if he hasn't (which is very dubious), that is not the general perception: his popularity has declined massively, surely Gaga's could take a hit as well if she keeps associating with that ghoul.

I don't think she's required to campaign or openly speaks about in his favour, if she is smart she keeps staying silent about politics during the JFAD promo, because we all know she is even a bigger target and everything she says get increased making more noise, for the JFAD promo, WB should study well her campaign, like not doing too many interviews like during the HOG or ASIB, also she should do more "fun" stuff like those Youtube things where she can appear more cool and funny, but politics need to be avoid at every cost.

Polls have become infamous for being wrong the last 8 years, and the polling of a majority of global leaders blows. It's not unique to Biden.

I'm no Biden stan myself but he's not some cancer to whoever attaches themselves to him because most people aren't that emotionally charged about him. I too hope she stays out of anything not explicitly LGBTQ+ activism, but if she does something she'll get flack by an echo chamber that will move on to giving HML a new streaming peak the next day. :michael:

Saoirse Ronan would have also been cute since she was a fan of Gaga with attending her concerts before switching on her :suburban: @The Witch

I used to hate on her for switching on Ga Ga. But now I totally understand her

It would definitely have to be a song from To Bring You My Love or SFTCSFTS (I hate typing that album out). Her theatrical vocals would be perfect on a song like The Dancer

I don't think Jessica likes her though. I'd rather her do one with an industry veteran that likes her. Gar-Angelina would be perfect.

If you mention that weird interview moment when asked about Gaga joining AHS, Jessica said she actually didn't understand the question and just felt weird about what was asked.

I don't think she she has anything against Gaga. On contrary they would have stuff to talk about in the interview without fangirling

Aw that's very sweet, thanks sis!

I'm still here, I just haven't been in a stanning mood lately.

Spoiler

I do feel close to completely checking out tbh, which is quite disheartening because that's mother!

This year has been by far the worst in her career content-wise. The fact that 2023 will be remembered for.....Nurtec® ODT is so ******* depressing. I'm still pretending that Dr. Harleen shilling migraine pills was just her being in character. :priceless: I don't expect her to pump out albums every year, and I've always said that I don't mind her taking a break from being a pop star to focus on other things that she's passionate about or finds enjoyable at the moment (whether it's acting, jazz, her lip crayons & foundation, etc). I wouldn't want another half-assed era that she's not fully committed to, so I'd rather wait years until she feels musically inspired again to drop a magnum opus. An album where she would challenge herself, trust her intuition, and let go of her fan's expectations & people-pleaser mindset.

And then there's my frustration with L. Gaga, The Activist but I don't feel like opening that can of worms rn (and I see that you guys are already discussing it nñn).

I'll be lurking around and occasionally popping in here until something happens, unless yall need a former-die-hard-stan-turned-OGH nagging daily here :eli:

Austin Scott, editor of "The Lady and the Legend", spoke about the status of the Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga documentary:

"It was definitely not shelved, just postponed because it wasn't ready on time. The project is finished, but they wanted more time for the promotion/trailers. It's wonderful. It's going to make everyone cry a lot, really."
