I would not call "too many brand sponsorships" or not desperately jumping on an 11-year-old song "bs"... It is moreso common sense. I still fail to understand what exactly she was supposed to do with BM apart from more Spotify playlisting. Is that what people are mad about, playlisting?   There is no world in which we should expect her to do anything with songs from BTW apart from basic playlisting.

 

For me, it is not about justifying what she is doing, it is about acting like grown adults. There is really nothing to justify because she is not doing anything harmful.

Dk if it's the stan in me saying this but Garley as a look kinda stands out more?

 

Like it retains all the traditional Harley elements but also is a fresh enough take to appeal to new audiences. Plus it's very DIY (which was honestly really smart of the FàD team) and relatively easier to recreate.

 

 

Anyways, FàDtober and Gagaween next year will definitely be fun!

I imagine had she released that, if it was real, this fanbase would have continued to call her lazy because she did not film a whole new music video for it.

Then you have more faith than I do.  The fans who had meltdowns over BM were fans who wanted her on TV performing it, doing interviews, and a new music video. They wanted it treated like an actual single. I suspect this just because her team did push it on Spotify and they did almost everything you can do without it looking desperate. The ***** was even on TikTok doing the dance.

Well there are some delusional chart chasers here, I will not deny that. But there were still things they could pull off without looking too desperate, as we have seen with other TikTok viral hits.

For how big it was, they should've added BM to TTH and released a lyric video. A sped up version too, although I get why she may have not approved the idea.
