Born This Way's title track was the perfect lead single y'all. Having said that, I'm surprised it's not in her top 10 on Spotify.

I used to be obsessed with Hair but it was no single material

it's too "complicated" in its structure but vocally oop

Born This Way being her magnum opus as always

the sax at the end :jonny3:

It is a loon for sure, and I'm 99.99% sure it's a sound effect from the first Age of Empires game. (0:14).
It sounds EXACTLY like the loon sound from Babylon.

I think Gaga did the sound effect herself

I am perplexed. The sound effect in the video game is a higher pitch, but if you pitch it down it is pretty much the same sound! It could be that there's a loon sound effect that is easily obtainable by any producer, or that a loon calling just sound very similar to each other.

I also found this https://www.videvo.net/sound-effect/bird-loon-01/405302/#rs=audio-title which I think is the same sound as in the game/in Babylon.

Main Pop Bird. :jonnycat:

I get reminded of Digeridoo when I listen to Babylon.

But I've heard that Loon sound elsewhere too. I recall the sound in The Sims: Bustin' Out (Dudley's Trailer)

Also, you can play as Babylonians in Age of Empires, the very game where you can hear the loon sound that is strikingly similar (or perhaps the same) to the one in the beginning of Babylon, the song by Lady Gaga.

Born This Way was a great choice for the lead single. It gave her a certified gay anthem and getting to have the 1000th recorded #1 song not only cool, but even better that it's the first #1 hit to ever mention trans people.

Its general longevity could be better, but a campy song like that wasn't ever going to have much recurrence. It probably managed 6 weeks at #1 because of Gaga's hype alone. Marry the Night and The Edge of Glory are the only other songs that could have rightfully kicked off her best album and campaign.

'Babylon' is truly one of her best songs, the bird sound is iconic.

She must be a bird call enthusiast. The intro to Hold My Hand also had a loon sound

She easily clears all her contemporaries bar Rihanna, Taylor, and Adele, which explains why she has some of the most vocal detractors. What's also not appreciated enough is how she's the 37th most streamed artist on Spotify, which doesn't sounds impressive until you realize only SEVEN women are above her. :rip:

Our girl is a f*cking legend. :clap3:

Also when you consider how much of a streaming BOMB she was when streaming started taking off. In 2016 she had less monthly listeners than Tori Kelly and Jessie J. The Cure was her first song to cross 200m streams and was her most streamed at one point. Her revival has been insane.

We were in the pits in 2016: https://gagadaily.com/forums/topic/182996-how-depressing-is-the-number-of-gagas-monthly-listeners-on-spotify/

I really wanted that fake rumored 'Babylon' video set in a jungle temple with Voguing dancers.

I settled with this great fanmade with one of my fave shows instead :clack:

Babylon is truly one of my favorite Gaga songs ever.

It could have fit on BTW with those 80s sax and choir pop vibes

Bradley Cooper is #2 on Goldderby predictions for best actor, apparently the race is between him and Cillian Murphy in 'Oppenheimer', I really need him to win..
