I feel like the fact that she's rumored to be working with multiple reliable hit producers means she wants to give the next album the promotion that Chromatica was supposed to have. At least that's what I hope for, anyways.

So far the only competition for a January release seems to be Greedy by the new princess of pop and if something picks up from SZA’s deluxe. January kinda feels like a flop month to kick off a new era lowkey, but the charts will be so weak

In December 2019 it felt imminent that LG6 was going to come out in early 2020. 
It does not feel the same way now. Yes she has been in the studio, but we are almost completely in the dark. 
I am not going to start hyping myself until she actually mentions that she has been working on a new record

I actually kind of feel like it's the opposite. Q4 used to be the best time to release music back in the digital and physical eras because there would be a Black Friday and iTunes gift card boost that labels could capitalize on. That's no longer a thing due to Christmas music shutting everything out to the extent that it does (and it usually kills off most of the previous year's radio hits along with it). By the time January rolls around, people are looking for new music to listen to and radios are looking for new songs to put out into rotation. I actually think it's going to become way more competitive going forward, especially after with what happened with Flowers and Kill Bill this year. Especially because it's previously been seen as a dead month, so labels are going to try to get that first move advantage by trying to lock down a smash.

I hope she's producing or coproducing most of this record cause this list of producers ain't it. I mean, her work with ReDone is completely unrecognizable compared to what he does on his own/has done with other people so I'm gonna have faith if she's taking the lead
