I didn't expect her to address it but her first post since the tour mess being a Haus Labs ad is a choice :suburban:

You gotta admit - Only Gaga can combine two things her fanbase hates the most in her artistry (Haus Labs and jazz) and release it when they're complaining about ticket prizes AND waiting for a new music video. :suburban:

What is there really to complain about besides ticket prices though? She's prepping for a massive set that she's gonna be performing around the world. Let her practice, teasing will likely start on Monday or Wednesday next week.

Of course but she just makes it sooo obvious now.

I do believe in 2012 when asked by an interviewer when she released FAME fragrance, she said something like..

she doesn't just sell products with her name slapped on it for fans like other celebrities.

oh how times have changed :rip:

She wasn't the one making money. Most of her profits were going to other people. That's the difference.

Tate mcrae will be my new popstar now, the new britney spears!

After a super fan for 17 years i'll be stepping down.

Gaga sold out to the industry with these prices and will be retiring for 5-10 years most likely with the odd movie here and there.

I'm gonna try to keep this very concise because a lot of people in here genuinely don't understand where the touring market is at. I'm gonna use the Cowboy Carter tour as a comp just incase BeyHive backread this and think I'm dragging (I'm not).

Ticketmaster has a monopoly and Livenation are the people who book and plan these tours far out in advance. The Eras tour was not the standard for ticketing, it was the exception. The onsale prices were not that absurd given Taylor's popularity but the resale value of the tickets was infinitely higher than it should have been given stock and demand. As an obvious response to that, Ticketmaster's new ticketing strategy is to throw ticket prices at the wall and see what sticks. Is this is a problem? Absolutely. Is it exclusive to Gaga? No, and she's not necessarily going to be above it either. Everybody is trying to make negligible comps to the Chromatica Ball for ticket prices, which is a delusional endeavour because she has only gotten exponentially MORE popular since 2022. Her streams are exploding, she got the biggest hit of her career, old B-sides are going viral and becoming mega hits, she's again at the top of her celebrity profile. That compounded with inflation in general make 400+ close lower bowl and floor seat prices make sense.

Do I agree with them? No, but an artist of her stature and caliber charges those prices. Madonna's Celebration Tour had similar ticket prices for its standard tickets (such as 400+ lower bowl tickets, etc). Gaga is the same calibar of performer as Madonna and should be selling her tickets at said price. The real issue comes when they are very obviously labelling PLATINUM tickets under 'Artist' and 'Citi' and 'Verizon' presale. Beyonce did the same thing for the CC tour which resulted in MANY of her fans overpaying for tickets and feeling horrible about it. This is a genuinely gross tactic and I hope it stops after this year because its very obviously a new strategy Ticketmaster is making their artists utilize.

Venues have an allocated amount of Platinum tickets that they sell at ANY price because the venue themselves want to make a profit, which is why the prices for those tickets are so ridiculous. Naturally, the supply and demand of these tickets being in arenas made it MUCH more difficult. We haven't experienced ticket stress like this EVER as a fanbase because Gaga has grown to stadium popularity and had to book an arena tour because of constraints with scheduling. This SUCKS for us as fans and obviously doesnt sit well with many of us (me included). However, it is very incredulous to act like there was NO affordable tickets to the shows at all. It's a supply issue because she cannot meet the demand due to venue constraints.

This is not selling out to the industry. She has been one of LiveNation's most consistent partners and has a massive contract with them that she signed during artRAVE (her 'flop' era). They helped to bankroll A Star Is Born, they've helped her Vegas residency... they've been in partnership with her for almost 20 years. She plays to their rules, they booked the venues for the tour. If you cannot comprehend that this situation is MUCH more nuanced than 'she sold out', I don't know what to tell you at this point.

Also if she is retiring, let her? She's almost 40 years old and has expressly stated she wants to start a family. It should have been obvious since Chromatica that she herself is scaling back and focusing squarely on her artistry first, her personal life, and her own relationship with fame. Popstars do not last as long as Gaga has lasted, she is a literal legend. She will continue to release music and perform to audiences for the next 40+ years regardless of her output. You're free to move onto the next hot starlet that'll last for 5 years and burn out but trying to devalue a living legend like Gaga because she isn't playing the same industry game she was when she was 20 years old is genuinely gross and speaks more to the misogynistic tendencies pop fans have with regard to their own career. You making your entire personality about her is the issue at that point, not her output or artistry.

Anyways end of my mini rant.

Summary Mayhem Ball ticket prices are more nuanced than the conversation alludes to, artist of gaga's calibar should be charging rates like madonna/beyonce, her livenation contract is an obvious factor that nobody wants to talk about, she wants to settle and slow down and if you're upset about that maybe youre the problem.

Does anyone know what lip liner/color gaga uses for her lips?

It's haus labs right?

Cause I want one, her lips look so full without looking drawn on :jonnycat:

The queen fromnthe Rockin Roundtable also uses Haus Labs

the ones calling other monsters "broke" because we refuse to spend thousands of dollars which are filling big coperations pockets and clearly scamming fans.. aswell as her dumb *** team. These are the fans who are getting loans and credit cards out and will be paying them off over the next 12-24 months

My post was obviously a joke about me retiring as a stan and it got you all writing essays..

oh liddos never change :rip:

Also the fact you're supporting these outrageous prices when her tours have NEVER been like this.. just because she has support and contract from "live nation"  sis, EVERY artist goes through live nation to sell their tickets.. pls.

Just because fan bases are allowing it to be the "norm" doesn't make it right or acceptable. Gaga was at her peak fame wise during born this way as she was EVERYWHERE and if she knew the prices she was charging now back then.. she'd be disgusted. Gaga always fought back, pushed boundaries against the "machine" and industry. It's insulting you think thousands of dollars should be the norm for a pop star.  Let me tell you.. most of the fans sitting front row will either be in credit card debt, diving into general savings or very rich locals.

Her and the team should be disgusted with themselves but they are probably so filthy rich they lost touch with reality of what it's like to be a normal, everyday person. I mean its been years since gaga has even had a genuine connection and close with fans, those days are long gone.
