I think there was "preorder" written under the pic in the code with the title and the date.

 

Plus with just 17 days of preorders, an announcement without cover would make literally no noise

It could very well be a placeholder or one of the alt covers.

 

it could also be an eternal sunshine situation where we get multiple covers and they choose the fan favorite as the official streaming service cover…

 

I would bet that it IS the cover but I definitely think there is a chance that it isn't

I just realized the album being monochrome themed (in terms of aesthetics) has been one of the first real rumors (from like late 2023/early 2024 iirc) we've heard about the album... kind of gagged that it ended up being true at least by the looks of it!
