this image must have been sourced out and presented as the potential album cover, but from what i can gather there is no actual confirmation in the source code that this specific image is the album cover.

 

it could be a promo image like the one she used for ARTPOP, or the one that leaked from her website before Chromatica. they were also square ratio images to be fair.

 

but as i said, i wouldn't minde if it is the album cover! but i'll wait for her announcement or clear confirmation from her website code. maybe we already know this from the code, i haven't caught up on all the pages yet so if it's set in stone please let me know

Supervillain essentially confirmed that this is the album cover, and Lana Del Rey mentioned that the album actually has three alternative covers. They nailed the description of the image, title and they were off by only three days regarding the announcement.

Is the cover confirmed I'm just now catching up 

 

my first impression is that it's very good. It doesn't immediately click with me like chromatica's did BUT it does look really good. It's giving acclaimed album like Ray of Light or Velvet Rope

 

I see myself liking it a lot more after hearing the album, but first impression is definitely positive

I will say— I think I was hoping for something a bit more scary looking, like one of the creepy disease characters, this has a much more soft look to it. It does sorta mesh the vibes of die with a smile and disease perfectly tbh.

I'd give it an 8/10 on first look, but with room to grow after hearing her explain the world of the album and hearing it.

 

I do wonder if it's "one of the rumored alt arts" or if it's the main cover.

Someone with graphic design passions needs to create a a"Mayhem" aesthetic filter so that it's easy to overlay a cracked mirror b&w effect to these Arthur, Mariah, etc. images

The cover being a warped 60s fashion shoot, the dominating camera feeling almost like the obelisk from Space Odyssey flashing her mirror self. A horror concept. 
 

Her look is giving 90s Prince, Janet, Patti etc but also very Bowie (surprise) and reminds me of Diamond Dogs which is one of Gaga's favourite albums.

 

Not as high concept as something like Chromatica (which struggled to live up to that ambition anyway) but more grungy and succinct and a strong 180; I love it and the satanic panic font.

The cover is great tbh. Personally, it's not my favorite from an aesthetic perspective, but it's well made.

 

I had hesitations hearing there would be a broken glass effect on the cover because it's so cliché and been done a million times and could have looked really cheesy, but they made the glass break really well. It doesn't look standard yet you can tell it's glass. The fading and transparency is great, too.

 

Her team many not have professionals but her designers ALWAYS deliver.
