They fully gave up on PopGa with gp and they have DWAS for that. even a Valentine's Day release will utilise that song amazingly

Maybe when she said LG7's about celebrating her messy mistakes, she meant her entire career and wishes she released Jazz Dance (feat. Tony O'Bennett) instead

Honestly considering everyone is reporting and talking about the buffoonery that went down in the U.S. I think it's not a bad choice to cater the teasing towards the fanbase. It puts us out of our misery before an official announcement at least.

Lyrically its so similar to a song like Bad Romance and Monster but with rock tinge that I'd say its more like TF but also I see what you mean too.

It's moreso giving a throwback to older pop and rock acts. Almost all of Gaga's biggest idols have a clear black and white album cover that focuses primarily on their face. Her's is distinct bc it has a distortion with a crack that she's hiding behind. She's been VERY vocal about how she used to hide behind Gaga but now she isnt afraid to be not just one version, but ALL versions of herself. The crack in the reflection is liberating because she's freeing herself from her own conception about who she should be. Not to mention is simultaneously functions as a throwback and a distortion of The Fame AND TFM, both mirroring them and merging them. It's literally symbolic of the album concept. It's such a modern and confrontational album cover I can't help but think it's brilliant.

I like the title, Mayhem. It's just one word but it sounds raw and dynamic, I guess? It's okay!  I think I get the concept behind the cover: the use of black and white, her face distorted in a broken mirror, like her other self. It's the conceptual duality we've been talking about for months. However, it should've been taken further, like I'm waiting for the 'Gaga-twist'. Right now, it gives me 70s soft-pop/rock album vibes, not the energy of the music and visuals we've seen so far
