if she is indeed delaying the record then Imma need miss Nose to STEP THAT PUSS UP with the promo and hype building for the record after she does the charity performance for the LA fires which I think is the first week of February right? If that's the case she needs to go ham starting mid February cuz it REALLY feels like the most disjointed, messy and boring start to an era for any major popgirl :rip: It feels like she almost has to restart the introduction to the era and honestly I hope she does not just drop another single mid February and not do anything else...we really need some crumbs along to the album release :rip:

The LA fires performance is next Thursday the 30th

They've been saying LG7 was coming in February since last August... Postponing it now, when DWAS is at its peak, feels questionable. Another hit isn't guaranteed, and as I mentioned earlier, something else could happen to derail plans even further.

And we both now that a postponed wouldn't include more promo...

that's the unfortunate caveat tbh :skull: If we knew she'd actually promote and make it eventful i'd be ok with it but we know Gaga enough to know she'll postpone it with no major changes in promo or anything...my God her team is a DISASTER and she herself is just getting so "meh" around her music projects...I literally dont get it anymore...

I've never heard of that person though. I think the only reliable popjustice insiders are mindtrappa and popzone. Unless someone has receipts?

Yeah I hope I'm not proven wrong but it's giving some random that saw on twitter that ATLBinsider or whatever said Gaga would delay her album.

Inspiring and interacting with her fans, performing her music, and not leaving the small fan base she has left in the dark should be the priority, not planning another 100 date tour. Gaga could do random festivals and residencies for the rest of her career if she wanted. She hasn't "properly" toured in 7 years and she's had a career repeak with ASIB and the world's largest song with DWAS since then.

The situation in LA means that a delay could be because of a whole bunch of logistical reasons, rather than just sensitivity around releasing an album atm

+ maybe now that DWAS is on the album they aren't as concerned with getting a huge hit, maybe next single will be more music not the bling like Disease :-*

They added DWAS specifically to boost numbers, but it can't carry all the weight on its own.

Right now, most people don't even know about LG7 . If they let it lose momentum (which it inevitably will) and nothing else from LG7 gains traction, well... that's essentially a recipe for disaster.

Regarding the logistical reasons, you could definitely be right. However, even if they are planning a delay, we know that as of early December, the release was still scheduled for February. This means the vinyls are definitely being already printed and that's how that user probably got to see the cover + name

Y'all said that about Disease too when she didn't announce until the last minute

:suburban:

This time is different tho, I don't think it would be a good idea to surprise-release the album when there are no pre-orders and right now there's very little hype/anticipation, she would debut outside the top 10 for sure

Someone on Pop Justice saying it's delayed until April

:suburban:

All this delaying, you'd think they have some masterplan era prepared :suburban: Girl just drop it and get it over it, we've been through this before.

Dropping the album the same weekend as Coachella would kinda be good for its first week sales I believe

:suburban:

But she would definitely need to release at least one more song before that, because I'm afraid I wouldn't make it otherwise

like we all know it's gonna flop :rip: based on what we've heard so far the music will be amazing though so just feed your dwindling fanbase and move on to the next non-era

Yeah if there's nothing by Tuesday Feb 4th… :suburban:

I'm still on the side of "album not delayed, only announcement was" but damn it's annoying living it in real time. Can't wait to laugh at it looking back like with Disease

Why can her team never tell us what's going on. It's always total silence for the past 10 years until something happens. And then silence in between everything else

Coachella isn't the album seller some ppl think it is tho :suburban:

It's more of a cultural impact moment than sales booster tbh. It's better she releases LG7 way before it tbh

Gaga, you either announce stuff and stick to it, or just don't announce your sh*t until you're ready. We had no business knowing that the album was coming next month

That same (OGH) prediction page says DWAS is snatching week 3 within 1% (2 point lead), despite their midweek prediction of Benito 4 point ahead

Maybe it's just me but releasing an album you're supposed to perform at Coachella—a GP event—the same week as the festival isn't weird?

We don't know how people will react, and it could lower the energy of the performance because many won't even be familiar with the songs yet.

It's similar to releasing "Disease" for Halloween when it was already too late to market it as a proper Halloween release idk :deadbanana2:

I mean Coachella as promo is better than NOTHING as promo, because best believe that she's gonna drop the album and be completely silent until Coachella

Also, at this point, even disease coming last year was a mistake. What was the point of releasing a single and then just leaving the era to die?
