The Grammys were so unserious for nominating Lil Nas X's 7 - EP over ASIB in 2020

Lowkey the field in 2022 was so weak (no way they were giving it to a debut album like SOUR or an artist's second album in a row like HTE or Evermore, the rest... just have a look for yourselves nnnnnn) I honestly think L4S had a shot :deadbanana4:

Almost all of us in the base thought she had a real chance at winning it since we all knew Tony was sick

If a HAC LG7 followed DWAS, she'd bag this, easily. Mother chose the arts for once, though :WAP:

Is also taken, same "people", same location etc

In my mind the AOTY Grammy had Tony & Gar's names engraved on it bc of how significantly they over-performed in noms. Even more so when they didn't even televise their sole win. An overall mess :deadbanana4:

Unfortunately I think Jon Rapisté siphoned key classical/jazz voters that Tony & Gar would've needed to win. They easily placed 2nd imo

Who cares? I would've loved for Gaga to have an AOTY win, there's no guarantee any of her albums will ever win it.

Remember when we thought Shallow would flop just because it had crowd noise in the back ? :chick3:

I also love the way she sings shallow in the trailer

Am I like the only one who thought Shallow sounded like an absolute smash watching the trailer the first time? I remember being SO hype that she was back to singing fully & clearly after that warbled, Count Dracula vocal technique she was using in 2016. Nvm the trailer being one of the best of all time. I was like, ok this isn't going to be as Khia'd as I thought when her casting  was first announced. ASIB was nothing but TABS from the first trailer up until 2019 Oscars, not many entertainers have as delicious of an imperial phase, nvm their 2nd:DWAS:
