while I agree she does enjoy success I dont think it's as simple as that to be fair. Gaga does enjoy when something becomes a hit and she has previously (and currently) done commercial decisions and strategic things that someone who isnt into charts wouldnt do BUT she also does these side projects that are clearly passion projects and show case that while she does enjoy charts she also isnt afraid to be experimental or to do something just for the love of art. That said, Gaga is also COMMERCIAL POP ARTIST. and she has NEVER claimed otherwise so ppl who like to make the argument that Gaga is so above the charts are just parotting pretentious talking points. There's a duality to Gaga. The pop star who does indeed want chart success and then the risk taker who can accept flops if it means she expressed her art the way she wanted it and I absolutely LOVE that about her!

It's better for it to be on actual studio album, and it feels very different from the rest of Harlequin for me.

Well technically Jimmy was asking if DWAS was on Harlequin, not LG7 (you can see him literally point to the album) but yes, Gaga always said it was its own thing and now's the missing piece of LG7

and that's why I think the OG idea for Lg7 is scrapped. suer we will have the song on this album but few songs that she recorded recently (more DWAS sound) will be attached to it as well and let me tell you... i hate it

and if some of you wanna fight, let's go. but don't be mad when the albums flops on your charts. if it will i will say that's because DWAS and those songs, and if it will be TABS? I will say it's because of Disease, Abra and other bops

She and her team are so useless and stupid, they had all the time in the world. She could have just released the album with the movie or before to gain some extra press, but of course she took her time as usual. 
 

Everything changed after 2013, because until that point she used to yearly record and release music, let's not forget how fast her first three and four albums were out (TF until ARTPOP). That was her creative peak. 
 

When Madonna was her age she still released albums every two years and had solo hit after solo hit…

It's an interesting metric to compare the almost 5 years between Chromatica and now, and all of what she's done in-between vs. the first 5 years of her career from The Fame to ARTPOP. It seems like the trajectory of two completely different artists.

I think at bare minimum she could have got away with posting some sort of teaser video or at least sharing the title today in some metric, but I'm not holding out for that to happen. If she and her team would feel more settled to wait (and maybe let someone else announce something major first like Beyoncé) then let them wait.

It could literally be so easy to get hype going and keep it going, but they always make a huge mess of everything. It's been like this the past 4 albums.
