I'd think she'd want as many weeks of pre-orders as possible, but if that were the case, she could have dropped it with Disease. 
 

I mean, honestly…. It's not unheard of these days to announce an album a few weeks before release. We should manage expectations and prepare ourselves for an announcement as late as the first week in February if the album won't come out til the 28th.

 

I don't think it would be that late, but that's what some artists are doing now what with people's short attention spans.

LG7 is already guaranteed to last at least until May with Copacabana (Coachella in March/April)

 

Maybe what you meant is her going radio silent after dropping the album and in between those music festivals

I do, and that is on me. COVID proved that a music album doesn't affect whatever's going on in the world in the slightest (Future Nostalgia being the best example). Only stan bubbles and pop culture fans like us are so immersed in eras, that we see outside events as threats that could compromise the impact of our fantasy rollout.

 

 

 

Gaga choses to prioritize philanthropy and that is commendable. My thing with that is, when you're done and get back to work, f***ing do so. Not promises of grandeur overshadowed by cookies and Pharma; Chromatica will always be "what could've been" and right now her next album is "will it even be". She/her team lost credibility and there are no signs of redeeming qualities so far. They took us to the point where, even with 2 songs in and one being one of her biggest hits ever, we're questioning if the album's even coming. Sorry for the sudden rant.
