Bamboo Posted Thursday at 01:50 PM Posted Thursday at 01:50 PM "It was like the missing piece" the missing piece being a smash hit —- Watching DWAS' and Disease's wiki pages change to say "lead single" and "second single" 1 6
Nicholai Posted Thursday at 01:52 PM Posted Thursday at 01:52 PM She already teased that the album will be multigenre. Abracadabra is in the same album that Zombified and Girlfriend are. 3
Miss Anthropocene Posted Thursday at 01:52 PM Posted Thursday at 01:52 PM I'm not shocked in the slightest that it's on the album, it was either gonna be on Bruno's or hers and it's on hers, she's on the song as much as him. Get that coin mama 1
GipJo Posted Thursday at 01:53 PM Posted Thursday at 01:53 PM 23 minutes ago, Andraslop said: You've returned to ballads regularly throughout your career. I'm thinking of one record I didn't put on my [upcoming] album that's actually… I might put it out so I don't want to share the name. Does this mean LG7's tracklist is still not closed? That really worries me. I hope they don't pretend to release the album without having the vinyls ready. But for that, they should've started with the production like right now, taking into account that it takes like 2 months to have them ready. No, she is talking about a song that is not on LG7. If we have to guess when it (DWAS adding in) happened, it's probably after Disease's first week sale.
opbranden Posted Thursday at 01:54 PM Posted Thursday at 01:54 PM Just now, David_Greengrass97 said: Idk about you guys but I'm speechless, like more scared than excited to the fact that DWAS is added to LG7. It's so strange, so weird. Having both DWAS and DISEASE in the same album makes me feel idk how to feel, I hoped it was an album full of dArK bAwPs but rn, it's like she's putting out a compilation album and she feels unsure the direction of LG7 and aesthetics of it. This gives me ARTPOP ptsd flashbacks Everything we've heard from LG7 so far sounds sonically cohesive tho. Tracks like Abracadabra, Disease, Notorious Being, Dancing in the Shadows, and Zombified all feel like they belong together. Garden of Eden is just a demo, so it's hard to say much about it. At least these tracks share a consistent vibe. Whether they're the only ones with that specific sound or not, we'll just have to wait and see. Spoiler That said, DWAS doesn't fit with any of them. It was originally a Bruno song and wasn't part of the creative process for LG7 2
Soup in Teapot Posted Thursday at 01:55 PM Posted Thursday at 01:55 PM Every gaga's studio album has powerful ballad, even Truamatuca has SFA. I see no issues here, the gp won't care either, the fact that they have already thought DWAS is the lead of a new Gaga album. Let's enjoy her biggest lead and the fans fav second buzz single! 1
ROARyals Posted Thursday at 01:57 PM Posted Thursday at 01:57 PM (edited) - Disease - Notorious Being - Abracadabra - Mustang - Garden of Eden/Girlfriend - Dance In The Shadow… - [the Disease sister track she mentioned in an interview] the album already has more dark bawps than The Fame Mons†er ??? we're literally already being fed - plus Zombified/Zombie Bride is a funky bop so we've already been teased another genre other than industrial pop Edited Thursday at 02:00 PM by ROARyals 5
Colmillo Posted Thursday at 01:58 PM Posted Thursday at 01:58 PM I have mixed feelings, I didn't want DWAS on the album but if they found a way to make it make sense inside the tracklist then it's ok I guess, I mean look at BTW, it has Government Hooker but also You & I and they couldn't be more different, so idk, maybe it'll all make sense once we listen to the full album ( I hope) Also, Gesaffelstein OMGGGGG 1
Almodusa Posted Thursday at 01:59 PM Posted Thursday at 01:59 PM I didn't want it to be the last song on the album because now we know how it ends. So now I gotta look forward to the penultimate song (just like with studio version of Yoü and I (more like The Queen tbh) and Gypsy). I fear/hope this didn't replace a new song, which unless it was the other ballad she mentioned, we likely won't get to hear now. I feel the same about interludes tbh. Disease is still the lead (I assume). At least she did this prior to the album release instead of after like Katy & Dua.
Desire Posted Thursday at 01:59 PM Posted Thursday at 01:59 PM LG7 already at 1.2b streams and Grammy nominated. Oh the smasha 5
Miss Anthropocene Posted Thursday at 02:01 PM Posted Thursday at 02:01 PM DWAS is licensed under Interscope, it was always Gaga's song 2
Mariano Posted Thursday at 02:01 PM Posted Thursday at 02:01 PM All of this new info is too much DWAS on LG7, I was against it, but surprisingly I'm happy about it, it just so funny how mad OGH are. Gesaffelstein on LG7, we kinda knew, but finally it's confirmed. And possibly the most exciting, 2 NEW music videos 2
lgaga1fan Posted Thursday at 02:03 PM Posted Thursday at 02:03 PM Every Gaga album besides Chromatic has a soft rock tinged ballad so idk why some of yall are so upset
Ethereaaal Posted Thursday at 02:04 PM Posted Thursday at 02:04 PM (edited) TBH, Speechless is the last thing I expect to hear from an album after hearing Bad Romance, Telephone, Monster, Alejandro, etc… Like I still kinda get it because it's a collab, but y'all are doing too much, esp. when we havent heard the album. Anyways, DWAS, a global and acclaimed smasha, is no longer a 'standalone' single Edited Thursday at 02:07 PM by Ethereaaal 1
Arthoe Posted Thursday at 02:05 PM Posted Thursday at 02:05 PM To all the f*gs that tried to drag me a month ago for daring to suggest that LG7 might not even be finished and that Interscope might have some *notes* 6

I think the tracklist is already locked unless they decided to add DWAS to LG7 within the past 10 days. She's been in the studio every other week since May and you're already starting with the "original lg7" **** girl let's calm it down 2
Ego. Posted Thursday at 02:05 PM Posted Thursday at 02:05 PM So does this mean LG7 is already going to be gold upon release due to DWAS units Im not upset it's just that this is clearly a commercial move since we knew the song was never intended for the album so it's giving big charts not the arts energy 1 1
Almodusa Posted Thursday at 02:06 PM Posted Thursday at 02:06 PM I mean if she can have Dope between Mary Jane Holland and Gypsy… 2
lgaga1fan Posted Thursday at 02:06 PM Posted Thursday at 02:06 PM If the trade off to getting **** like Abracadabra and Disease is DWAS being stuck into the album who really cares

When Gaga said to RS that the album has different moments throughout, I think at that point the decision to add DWAS has been made, which is why she probably said that too. She stuck with the cohesive narrative in the Carpool Karaoke so we'll see. Now that we officially have 2 songs from LG7 already out and one of them with 1B+ streams, they won't feel pressured to "save" the album so their plans for January might be to just push DWAS to no.1 (maybe those deuxmoi rumors of filming with Bruno could be a video performance or smth with this goal in mind) and announce the album + preorders. And single no.3 in February close to the album release and guarantee a good debut week. 5 2
Bimbo Posted Thursday at 02:11 PM Posted Thursday at 02:11 PM lmfaoooo finally a decision that looks like it comes from an artist with a manager and a label 2 1 3
David_Greengrass97 Posted Thursday at 02:11 PM Posted Thursday at 02:11 PM (edited) That dark pop song she eliminated to make a spot for DWAS. I'm sorry your creator failed you Edited Thursday at 02:12 PM by David_Greengrass97 1

We know it was finished by then cause she confirmed it herself on multiple occasions. +Andrew was busy with other projects etc With "OG LG7," I meant that the "first version" was completed in May, before any changes were made (if any changes happened at all). Since Andrew was away, I highly doubt that any of the songs we heard had any changes made to them.
Bamboo Posted Thursday at 02:14 PM Posted Thursday at 02:14 PM When's the last time an album gained almost 1.3 B streams in one day? 8
