Illuminati Posted Thursday at 01:27 PM Posted Thursday at 01:27 PM Remember girls, DWAS was always the lead single 13
Sugden Posted Thursday at 01:27 PM Posted Thursday at 01:27 PM yall being a bit dramatic its like one song mor eon the tracklist, sure its a bit chart hungry behaviour but its not the end of the world
Puttanesca Posted Thursday at 01:28 PM Posted Thursday at 01:28 PM Meh, tacking DWAS at the end of the album makes no difference to me. That's clearly Interscope doing their thing lol 1

Andraslop Posted Thursday at 01:28 PM Posted Thursday at 01:28 PM (edited) You've returned to ballads regularly throughout your career. I'm thinking of one record I didn't put on my [upcoming] album that's actually… I might put it out so I don't want to share the name. Does this mean LG7's tracklist is still not closed? That really worries me. I hope they don't pretend to release the album without having the vinyls ready. But for that, they should've started with the production like right now, taking into account that it takes like 2 months to have them ready. Edited Thursday at 01:28 PM by Andraslop

Her album is never cohesive sonically except for Chromatica. It's always about the theme. Let's see how it's done 3
MAKSIM Posted Thursday at 01:31 PM Posted Thursday at 01:31 PM 33 minutes ago, opbranden said: The issue with DWAS isn't that it's a ballad. Songs like Speechless and Brown Eyes fit seamlessly into their respective albums, from the way they're sung to their overall sound. The same goes for Ü&I, in my opinion. DWAS, on the other hand, feels worlds apart from everything we've heard about LG7—both in terms of her vocals and the production. It wasn't part of the album; it was just a standalone release, meaning it had no connection to the creative process behind the record. You're critiquing the cohesiveness of an album without hearing the album. Please touch some grass. 10 3
Mix Posted Thursday at 01:32 PM Posted Thursday at 01:32 PM And she always has one ballad in her albums except for Chromatica for cohesive purposes. It can work, let's see
paperfectdelusion Posted Thursday at 01:33 PM Posted Thursday at 01:33 PM She can easily put in song in the near end of the album along with one or two slower tracks to give listener some break from techno and electronic dance records. We now don't need to worry about first week I'm so relived! 1

The original LG7 was completed last May, and she mentioned the tracklisting in her Rolling Stone interview from two weeks ago. I think the tracklist is already locked unless they decided to add DWAS to LG7 within the past 10 days. 1
ROARyals Posted Thursday at 01:34 PM Posted Thursday at 01:34 PM (edited) 12 minutes ago, PMM said: then why she was talking about dwas being standalone track? we are seeing the album sound shifting right before the release. i am scared that she will scrapped some songs or make their sound more like dwas to fit the concept and i don't want it. simple well now youre talking about something else, but yeah interscope made her do this clearly. if Gaga thinks it works, then so be it. she's said multiple times it's going to be a mix of genres, not a pure dark bawp album. yall are not reading her interviews! and to assume she's going to delete songs off the album - like now youre just doing too much Edited Thursday at 01:35 PM by ROARyals
duybeeGAshantiGA Posted Thursday at 01:37 PM Posted Thursday at 01:37 PM Iirc yall wanted dwas to be on LG7, now you dont? 7
Aden Posted Thursday at 01:38 PM Posted Thursday at 01:38 PM Screaming at some people being concerned about the sonic cohesion of an album consistently described as "chaotic". Spoiler We should also be thankful this smart decision is going to help LG7 not debut with 45k first week 9
Ethereaaal Posted Thursday at 01:39 PM Posted Thursday at 01:39 PM (edited) LG7 already at a billion streams and is Grammy nominated ahead of its release… I'd save the meltdowns on it not fitting the album, until after I hear the album… Edited Thursday at 01:41 PM by Ethereaaal 7
bitchfit Posted Thursday at 01:39 PM Posted Thursday at 01:39 PM Hopefully Interscope work to push it to #1 in the New Year before they move on to a new single. It's so close 2
kwek_kwek Posted Thursday at 01:41 PM Posted Thursday at 01:41 PM LG7 will have almost 2 billion streams before its release. 1
opbranden Posted Thursday at 01:42 PM Posted Thursday at 01:42 PM When they don't drop the 2nd (now 3rd) single in January because DWAS is still #1, and we're stuck waiting another two months to hear anything else from LG7.
Mr. Peanutbutter Posted Thursday at 01:43 PM Posted Thursday at 01:43 PM What we've heard so far sounds very cohesive (Disease, Notorious Being, Dance In The Shadows, Abracadabra) so I'm not sure where DWAS fits. But for all we know the album could have like 18 tracks and have like only 6 dark pop songs so 3
Aden Posted Thursday at 01:47 PM Posted Thursday at 01:47 PM Another reason DWAS being added to LG7 is good is that it'll extend and preserve Gaga's streak of one top 5 hit per album. This was a good decision, idgaf. So many of her peers have abused slimier tactics to avoid flopping, from releasing 30 album variants to excessive radio payola to jumping on remixes of already-established #1 hits. DWAS and Disease are also both some of the best songs in her career. This won't change the fact that LG7 sounds like it's going to be a masterpiece. 5
Valgorie Posted Thursday at 01:48 PM Posted Thursday at 01:48 PM How the mighty have fallen. This would've been unheard of to liddos just a few years ago. The anticipation for this album is definitely giving chaos. 1

Summer Boy Posted Thursday at 01:49 PM Posted Thursday at 01:49 PM I don't think DWAS will be put on a deluxe edition since she said it's a huge part of the album. 3
David_Greengrass97 Posted Thursday at 01:49 PM Posted Thursday at 01:49 PM Idk about you guys but I'm speechless, like more scared than excited to the fact that DWAS is added to LG7. It's so strange, so weird. Having both DWAS and DISEASE in the same album makes me feel idk how to feel, I hoped it was an album full of dArK bAwPs but rn, it's like she's putting out a compilation album and she feels unsure the direction of LG7 and aesthetics of it. This gives me ARTPOP ptsd flashbacks 2
