DWAS staying consistent despite the Christmas songs is very impressive. If it holds steady for next week's update, then it'll be around #45 with 8k points (on the WW list). But we'll see how that plays out. If there's one thing DWAS's chart run has taught me, it's not to predict anything

This week's update on the global chart:

45. Die with a Smile: 7,980 (+380)

 

US chart: 

82. Die with a Smile: 5,636 points (+276)

 

The decreases in point growth are due to Christmas songs. Also DWAS is going to tie Bad Romance for weeks spent in the top 10 this week (17). Only Just Dance (19) and Poker Face (18) are ahead.

I don't logistically see the need to wait until the new year to announce the album. I feel like it makes the most sense to release on Feb 14th which is only like 9 weeks away. There's nothing stopping her doing that now. The Christmas freeze would get in the way of releasing new music, not announcing it.

Just watched that interview in which she breaks down Disease's production. So interesting hearing all the isolated layers, you can tell how much she loved making the song and how pleased she is with the final product. And in the end, we have fun with the music when the artist is having fun with the music. It's very nice to see her confident and excited for new music and also, she seems to be surrounded by people who fully supports her now.  Curious to see which song she said she's really excited about
