Sorry, but Gaga should've seen the backlash coming from a mile away when she signed up for Joker: the musical & the courtroom drama & the movie that makes fun of the audience of the first movie. So being sad and disappointed now... girl, this was the project you signed up for!!!

But I'm not convinced that Gaga is affected anymore by the bombing. It's just her being her usual stubborn self that we've gotten used to, her hating doing promo, especially on social media and not wanting to be a label puppet popstar who has to do everything and anything to score hits for them and whatnot. She just wants her comfy team that won't push her further than she wants to be pushed, and wants to do things on her own schedule which is no schedule at all.

2025 is looking promising though :whistle2:

I hope she learned lessons from Joker's super tragic bombing, if you don't give people what they want or provide fan service in the business, they have their rights to leave or hate. There will be no financial profits at all. This is easy math logic. Even if you try next time with better materials, only very few people will check it back unfortunately. The timing is super important.
Gar's problem is always about wrong timing. She wasted the ASIB oscar buzz to release mouselabs at the end of that year instead of releasing LG6. When she was finally ready for god's sake, the pandemic hit,and everything was falling apart. We can all agree it's very frustrated to stan her from 2020~2024, so many turned into casual fans for their mental health, when she is finally bringing good material after 4 years, only few people is here for it, others won't even bother to check it out. :suburban:

Anyway good luck with the debut sale/streaming number for LG7!

I don't know why they didn't chose this date from the very beginning. it is perfect for Grammy promo.

HiveMonster hybrid here!

Does DWAS have a chance in January? If so, are there any more tricks to pull?

Have loosely been following its run and it seems all the games have been played (live, sped up, etc). Is there any last push they can do in Jan to try?

basically we're waiting for the other songs  to drop harder than DWAS by the time the Christmas songs fall :toofunny2: hopefully no big releases in the next 30 days

Maybe an A List artist already had that spot booked :/

But now I'm getting Feb 21st tbh

If she announced the album this week for Jan 31st, she'd have a 9 week pre-order window which is plenty. Jan 31st works as she'll get Grammy buzz, will (hopefully) be rolling off a successful new single released at the start of Jan and hopefully won't have much competition since it's a pretty quiet release day so far, and other artists are now announcing for dates past then.

Somehow she and her team never pick the easy way to go though.

Dear God, it seems like LG7 will be a non-event :rip:

With him performing at the Super Bowl on February 9th, releasing on February 7th seems incredibly risky for Gaga. It would likely be overshadowed, especially if the rumors about Beyoncé announcing ACT III turn out to be true.

At this point, our best bet seems to be February 14th, hoping it's far enough from the Super Bowl to garner some attention :monkey:

Nah I've written off Feb 7th and 14th for ages now specifically bc of Kendrick reaching Drake 2018 levels of fame atm lol

She can drop the second single to LG7 on the 14th ig…

but then again, after this year, let's not underestimate Interscope's ability to **** things up

Kendrick, and he is releasing his vinyls at the end of February, so they'll likely aim to push the album back up the charts after the Super Bowl (giving Gaga just a week to be #1 :rip:)

The pre-order needs to come when the era is more active. I still it will come with the second single, so probably first week of January.

Well, she should release March then. It's not like the era will last much after the album drops anyway

As I said yesterday, we are getting NOTHING this week. It's a big holiday week in the US. No news is coming until December 2 at the earliest.

Isn't the 21st risky as well if they are trying to push Kendrick for a repeak on the 28th's week?

You just answered your question, and it was a smart business move from Interscope.

I'm probably deluded here but Gaga should be pushed back, not forward. They desperately need everything that happened to blow over, not rush into things. A late January release for a Gaga album might cut short all promo and sales- she should be announcing as soon as this week and let's face it she probably won't- even locking out chances at longevity with Super Bowl happening early February.

Disease didn't do good before the Christmas freeze, would LG7 do better before the Kendrick freeze?

Honestly, it's better to release it sooner rather than delaying it further. LG7 is practically dormant at this point, and extending the silence with no promo or activity doesn't make sense. It is what it is. January 31st would be fine imo

Nah that's not acceptable. She has to make the era last and Charli has laid the blueprint on how to do so in 2024. Mind you, she's doing Coachella April 11th

No bc Kendrick will take all the headlines for like 2-3 days after Sun Feb 9th's Halftime show, his records will eat that week up, but after it, the #1 might be open.

Gaga can announce the second single Feb 12th and drop it on the 14th. Then it'll carry on to the album on the 21st. A very ROM like moment which worked well.

Then the week of the 28th starts and ig they wanna push Kendrick again only giving Gaga one week which is so dumb

She was only 600 copies shy of Chromatica  getting a second week at #1 bc of some trendy BLM movement album like ☠️☠️ No faith.
