This shows sales and streams. It doesn't show radio numbers (those are based on MediaBase, which is just estimating based on tracking a ton of radio stations). So either ABS's radio numbers were higher than predicted or some of the sales for the other versions were filtered out. It might have been a little bit of both. 3
Dumbledore Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I'm 23 and I swear I don't understand Tik Tok at all. Like wtf... Do these kind of videos help Disease or...? 3

Dumbledore Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Maybe the strategy is to make as many Tik Toks as possible. It doesn't matter if they are not funny or whatever, it's only a few seconds wasted. What matters is that people hear Disease at least once in hopes they like it. Yes, that must be the strategy. 2
FameFatale Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I just know Michael is the one behind the phone hyping her up and coming up with the idea 1

Colmillo Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I think that instead of her being the one that makes the TikToks they should pay influencers to make the TikToks, because people who follow Gar already have heard the song, the song needs to reach people who doesn't follow her 3
Summer Boy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 15 minutes ago, Aston Martin said: They're the only ones I know of. And honestly it's probably a good idea to look at predictions with a degree of skepticism in general. At the end of the day, predictions are just guesses. They may be made by people that are experts in their specific field, but no one's above being wrong. It's like how a vast majority of US pollsters were predicting Kamala would win the 2024 US Presidential Election (and we saw how that turned out ). No matter how good of a track record that chart predictors (or pollsters) may have, none of them are infallible. And I think going forward, we should probably remember that. Like we can just keep consuming Gaga's music on streaming and sales, but how her work charts is largely out of our individual control. All we can do is hope for the best. You're definitely right about this, and tbh that's why I did not get too hyped about that Hot 100 prediction (and also because the predicted points were way too close). I just wish other reliable predictors tried to estimate the IFPI to 10. I remember a few years ago, on some forum, there was some sort of projections (maybe Pulse Music Board users?). 1

Film yourself next to the thing you're most addicted to with Disease playing on the background Imagine the embarrassment if something like that happened and she got completely ignored Edited 2 hours ago by Dumbledore 1
IBeMe Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago i think it's time for us to admit that while Disease is a great way to introduce your new record and the vibe you will have on the album it just isnt hit single material. Them pushing it on radio scares me about whether or not they will be able to push a 2nd and third single on there too since they wasted some radio payola and a song that is CLEARLY not digestible for the GP and that the GP is actively not interested in / ignoring. The song imo is a fantastic album track or opening track or even promo single because u really know what to expect from LG7 (loud, brash, dissonant and even a little melodically absent) but it is not what sticks with the public / gp and that's ok. It's melody is not memorable / sticky which is what makes singles ...SINGLES.

Pulse seems to be more serious about music tracking, so it could be the case. Ukmix is another one that focuses on music numbers. But even if there is someone else on there who does one, I'll be taking it with a grain of salt after today. The bright side is even if IFPI doesn't happen this year, Gaga is still the female artist with the most entries on the songs chart (6). 1
Doctor Dick Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 14 minutes ago, Dumbledore said: Just as I thought then. Well, glad she's having fun! TikTok is the biggest form of promo as one such vid reaches millions of people and if it's funny or the song is found to be catchy it makes the people either record their own versions of said vid or just stream the song on Spotify or Apple Music. Sometimes, though, the song just isn't clicking just like it wouldn't if radio plays a certain song a million times and it still doesn't do too much to its sales/streams. But a large chunk of young people watch more content on TikTok than listen to radio so the song gets more exposure for the youngest listeners through the app. 1

BlondUnicorn Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Between her still doing these TikToks for Disease and that "heading top 10" ad for radio, what if they are hoping Disease somehow survives Christmas, give it another push in January and we only get the second single in February closer to the album?
