She should just release the whole album after this and then pick whichever song gains traction as the single.

Yeah if she was this level of lazy she could have just done what Taylor / Billie did: drop everything at once and then return to your mansion.

Billie actually promotes and she's doing it like the old days of pop girls (Avril, Hilary, Britney, etc) when they used to to do promo tours in different countries. That's the reason the album is doing so good (and the music is good too). You're right about Taylor.

I pray at least we have one live performance of Desease

Their plans all went down the drain so they probably just released D because she said it was coming. I still have hope they have bigger plans next year. It would be extremely disappointing if LG7 is another era with barely any promo and messy rollout. They still can make it big.

Spoiler my thoughts below because i don't want to clog up half of your phone screens s:wan:

Spoiler

The problem isn't the music, it's the **** surrounding it.

There has been zero reason for casual fans to stick around ever since 2020. Between Jazz, makeup, brand sponsorships, in 2023, the remainder of her shrunken fanbase had to cause uproar on social media before she finally logged on to be transparent with us about things that eventually took a further year to transpire.

She chose to reposition herself as a jazz girlie, it clearly makes her happier, you will never see the level of passion she gives her jazz projects transpire to her pop music ever again, nobody should be shocked at how much the core fanbase has shrunken. Least of all Gaga and her team.

They spent this entire decade making it their mission to alienate as much of her casual listeners as they could, and it has worked!

Disease and its accompanying visual is her first step back into what her fanbase have been waiting for for the best part of a decade, but again, it will take a lot know than that to bring people back on board, this is of course not being helped by the fact that there is zero enthusiasm or passion from her, instead the label are pumping $$$ into getting DWAS to #1.

Thank god we had the Chromatica Ball Tour, even if it was very formal and very little interaction with fans, it was good to see her doing what we all know she can do.

and also thank god DWAS took off with the GP in the way that it did because even a good 60% of her own fanbase shat all over it before it became a hit.

That's all there is to it really.

And when Die With A Smile becomes the most-streamed song ever on Spotify, what then?

Honestly, the fact that they relied SO much on JFAD in their plans without ANY sort of back up to carry the era  :deadbanana4:I get that high risk high reward BS, but no safety net for Gaga returning to a famously unpopular genre that tanked her career 10 years ago... that's just genuinely negligent in way that surpasses all the bad management decisions of Gaga's later career half.

The fact that beyond management, the distribution/label side of things are also being handled incredibly sloppily is the cherry on top.

She's definitely saving the promo for the whole album

Honestly, nobody would ever expect JFAD to do this bad. :deadbanana: Following the success of the first movie + Gaga included in the sequence. Everyone (including us) was sure it would do ok at least. Worst part is that is wasn't even that bad, the hate campaign was unfair. But I don't blame them for counting on it as promo for her new music.

If I had to pick one, I'd rather have her going all out next year than now. They did what they could with playlisting. And I kinda think it's better for her to stay out of the spotlight after all that happened this year and start 2025 fresh.

Hoping this is not another Chroma scenario where thing don't go as planned and they simply give up. I always try to understand their reasons, but I will get extremely disappointed if they give us some half baked material after all these years.

why can't her team pick a good lead? 3 eras not less :skull:

Now don't y'all start with the narrative that Disease isn't a good song just because it flopped
