Badgalbriel Posted November 8 Posted November 8 You guys still worried about Disease? That's old news, we know it's a flop. Let's just enjoy it. 3
Erotic Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Remember our meltdowns and denial when insiders started saying Gaga would be campaigned as Supporting Actress for FAD awards season Now even that is a reach. When we win, we win HARD, when we lose, we lose HARD. A polarizing fanbase just like our fave 1
IBeMe Posted November 8 Posted November 8 We need the second single on the second or third week of January and it needs to sound catchy and have a strong melody. Disease is a powerful mood setting record. It is not a single type of song imo. Not melodically driven...it's a very mood / energy based song. 3

PerfectCure Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Everything after that song's release feels like such a non event. The Harlequin release week was so promising because it really seemed like she was finally proud of her musical output again after such a long time. But it seems like this is even a worse roll out than Chromatica. Just a mess all around… 8
Aston Martin Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) According to someone at UKMix who has access to Luminate data, here's some RIAA eligibility updates: ASIB is 4x plat eligible (4 million units) YTD: 181,377 units, will move 210k units through 2024. Shallow is 11x plat eligible (11.7 million units, will cross 12 million early next year) YTD units: 762,763 ARUTW is 5x plat eligible (5.2 million units, will cross 6 million 1-2 years from now. Not bad for a song that was never released as a single in the US). YTD units: 561,218 INLA is 2x plat eligible (2.7 million units, will cross 3 million in 2-3 years) YTD units: 136,876 Is That Alright is just shy of plat eligible (960k units) and it'll probably hit the mark sometime next year. YTD units: 43,191 LWIF and MTME are both gold eligible. IDKWLI will probably cross that threshold next year. Edited November 8 by Aston Martin 9
IBeMe Posted November 8 Posted November 8 whatever happens i just hope we get 4 singles and 4 mvs...and maybe she can release specific market singles only like how popgirls used to do back in the day. I'd love an era strategy similar to what Gwen Stefani and Nelly Furtado used to do of releasing some songs as singles only for europe, others only in australia etc

I really think it'd be Diamond-eligible at this point had they released it here. Having two diamond singles off of one album once your career's pasted the decade mark would be a major flex. ASIB would probably also be at 6-7x plat eligible in the US and regularly charting on the BB200 in this scenario as well 2

Kinda need an update like this on her entire discography to actually know about her SPS units from the beginning to today Spoiler Knowing Bobby Interscope this will never be the case and we will forever be relying on updates from Behzad Hudson on Twitter
Aston Martin Posted November 8 Posted November 8 DWAS spends its 61st day at #1 on Global Spotify (and at 10 million+ filtered streams daily): 10,493,352. 800k lead over APT. 7

One puts the album at 1.8 million RIAA units and the other puts the album at 2 million RIAA units). Joanne is at 1,771,000 RIAA units. BTW is at 5,372,098 RIAA units and has moved approx 200k units in the US in 2024 so far. I didn't see much info on the singles, but I'll look and post them if I do. They're apparently also doing TF/TFM but the split on that is apparently making the numbers a pain in the ass to sort out 1

Yes we did criticize it because the lead single release week been terrible and non event. Thats a fact. But just because its not a hit that we imagined =\= its a bad song or music video. Its flopped yes but its nowhere near her worst songs. Disease is an excellent song. That's why I want her live rendition of it. She could do a simple live performance and put it on youtube / tiktok like Miley did for Jaded, she doesn't even need to go on TV.

kwek_kwek Posted November 8 Posted November 8 1 1 Die With A Smile Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars 1 2 12 72,120,205 Another 70m weekly streams. This is the 10th week that DWAS did over 70m weekly streams and most weeks of any song. 12

And it's been a mainstay on the BB200 since. I actually think it alone will get to Diamond in the US within the next few years (assuming this shithole country is still in existence ). I also remember hearing that Poker Face is 15x platinum and it still pulls the best recurrent streams out of any song in her discography. Based on Shallow having moved 767k units in the US in 2024, it wouldn't surprise me if Poker Face is clearing 1 million a year in the US at this point. 1
