The song is not going to become a hit at this point and no amount of promo is going to save it. Any Disease promo is really just for us fans, which I'm fine it (if we get anything else). TRUE.. i'm actually fine of not promoting DISEASE.. what I'm not fine tho is why they think DISEASE is a Lead Single Material.. Lead Single should be GP/Radio Friendly

Outlaws Posted November 8 Posted November 8 So Gaga's team has not learned a thing besides the song and MV. I really thought they were catching up to some of the other girls' teams.
ViviLittleM Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Only a few hours until success or one of the biggest snubs in history

Human Fly Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Can y all please stop trashing Disease? Yes we did criticize it because the lead single release week been terrible and non event. Thats a fact. But just because its not a hit that we imagined =\= its a bad song or music video. Its flopped yes but its nowhere near her worst songs. 2
Human Fly Posted November 8 Posted November 8 + on a good note, there wont be many new releases from now on until 2025, so there is a good chance Disease will stay inside TTH until 2nd single and the song will get 100M streams. 2nd single needs to be a smash hit tho, that is a must.. Doja's era started with Attention (#30 peak, 4 weeks on the chart overall) and she released Paint The Town Red after that. 2

MonsterJohn Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I don't agree with most of you guys. Disease is a bad lead, whether you like it or not is objective . Even #1 tth couldn't save it, it was completely rejected. Idk why her team thought it could work 2 1 2

I'm not even talking about the charts—I don't really care about that—but it just doesn't feel like a lead single or like the era has truly begun. 7 2
shimind Posted November 8 Posted November 8 People will warm up to Disease by the time album drops. So we just need to hold tight through the Christmas season

Talk about fumbling the bag Now this is where her label ****** up hard. During the week that was crucial for the ACR rule, they did nothing even tho DWAS needed just 500 extra copies to stay on chart, considering the following week Taste (the #1 at the time) went to ACR, had her label given it a small push DWAS would've been #1 that week. Aston Martin Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Friendly reminder that a Grammy snub wouldn't change the fact that DWAS is one of the biggest (and best) songs of the year and a classic in the making. And it's one of Gaga's (many) classics that has shown remarkable longevity. 4

opbranden Posted November 8 Posted November 8 17 minutes ago, Hair said: Buzz single confirmed I mean... The Edge of Glory, Hair, A-Yo, etc., all had a bigger push than this. I understand it's a different time now, but even considering what happened with Stupid Love—a leaked song—it's a really strange approach in 2024. Despite the pandemic starting and stopping it repeatedly, Stupid Love still managed to kick off that era. Right now Disease seems less "important" than Harlequin Even Katy, who faced even tougher chart struggles, still tried to make Woman's World feel like a true lead single for her era. I don't think it's her fault, it's definitely on her team 3
