I get that the KatyKats can be mad given the whole Applause vs. Roar chart battle and both Gaga and Katy entering the scene at around the same time but Taylor? There's like a good chunk of Swifties circlejerking in anti-Gaga threads and now this article written by a Swiftie as well. A few people here and myself pointed this out a few weeks ago too. They're not even OGHs, they just like to come for anyone who is flopping because they are obsessed with charts… it's sort of funny when you think how sad of an existence that must be for them 6

Because Gaga has what's their fave lack: singing talent, acting talent, multiple worldwide classics 1 1

They're not even OGHs, they just like to come for anyone who is flopping because they are obsessed with charts… it's sort of funny when you think how sad of an existence that must be for them I also think it could be because of how both of their peaks (Gaga and Taylor's) had Gaga scoring massive and talked about singles while Taylor only had two since 2022. And let's be honest, Anti-Hero is still nowhere near Poker Face or Bad Romance. The only massive hit single Taylor has scored in her culture-dominating peak is Cruel Summer. That could also be a reason why they're mad. DWAS at this point, solo or not, is way bigger than any Taylor single since Blank Space. 1

Disease should've had the cd's and video push on the day the song came out just in case it didn't serve longevity. Longevity can't be forced so either way they butchered the debut week. Just like they did with Stupid Love. The moment it leaked they should've changed the lead because it was hyped and could've had a cute debut at #1 on the Hot 100. I'll Never Love Again didn't fit as a lead at all but that's what they started pushing until Shallow showed signs of taking off. Then not pushing ARUTW, putting Ariana on ROM instead of another song and let ROM be solo. Bobby being a good friend doesn't always mean he's the right manager for you at this stage in your career. It's lucky he's super good at correcting mistakes (going for Shallow, letting MR shine, ROM, pushing ARUTW for the Grammys) so the performance of Disease could inspire him and her team to try a different route for the second single. If they want the money back they need to earn some. Edited November 7 by Doctor Dick 6

I'll give him what's due: he was (and still is, despite all) the best in booking all the right platforms and connections that allowed her to reinvent herself and get all the respect and acclaim she has now as an artist. But I agree that the mismanagements in the singles department can't be overlooked, cause what the hell were they thinking by letting ARUTW and Sour Candy rot like that

Freaky Prince Posted November 7 Posted November 7 There's no reason to be getting mad over that article tho, no? If we take off our stan goggles, the answer might be no. I guess this album is her last chance at a hit, since her next era will be in her 40s and that's very rare. My only fear is that she will turn into a hag chanteuse.

Nobody should be getting mad over it, because nobody in the GP cares about artists having 'solo hits' or not. It's the only comeback OGH have to wind up the LMs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 1 1

Their ONE excuse to drag Gaga will disappear.
Europe Posted November 7 Posted November 7 If she does not want to do an ERA then why TF is the album release date so f-ing far from the lead single's release date? Just release the album 1 week after the lead single drop if you are just going to disappear and do absolutely nothing. That way we could at least enjoy the music. 4
