There's more activity in Civics now, while Base/Celebria are pretty barren, I assume until people have recovered from election shock and allow themselves to care about stanning/stanwars, charts, celebrities and music again lul. And I don't blame them: it's hard to get into full "stan" mode when the whole world that allows you to be yourself could be in serious danger of getting targeted (or worse, erased) by bigots I really hope anyone here feels loved and welcomed, cause that's what we need in these trying times 6

Looking on the bright side, we can have a moment of break from the negative comments about the performance of Disease. 2

And I'm really hoping DWAS's continued positive radio updates and streaming stability can either snatch it a #1 on the BB100 right before the Christmas freeze starts or right after.

This is actually impressive. I hope it means that the radio is embracing it, despite the spotify. Maybe it can start building up soon. 1
Universo Posted November 7 Posted November 7 seems like 20 weeks in the Top10 for DWAS is not really out of reach huh

We'd love to hear the cries and complains when it's still looping on the radio in spring.
Aston Martin Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Also on pop radio, DWAS got a better update in both spins and AI than Taste (which is good bc the song has been gaining on DWAS there as of late) and it's poised to pass Bar Song on the format within the next few days.

Radio is still increasing and January and February are usually slow and we have the Grammys if in case that DWAS will get nominations and wins and a live performance. 1

Maybe it can start building up soon. Here's to hoping. The fact that the song is an ear worm certainly helps. I remember seeing a reaction on YouTube of a rock radio DJ hearing Disease for the first time and then immediately putting it on power. Maybe radio DJs will like the song enough to do the same. 4 minutes ago, Canonical Ensembl said: We'd love to hear the cries and complains when it's still looping on the radio in spring. Seeing as most of the songs in the top 5 are old as ****, I'm guessing that'll probably be the case

GipJo Posted November 7 Posted November 7 It's still crazy to me how Shallow only got a top 10 peak on radio but spent the most weeks on the radio charts out of all the Gaga songs.

Aston Martin Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Girlies, homophonic means sounding the same In this context it probably means that not very many non-German songs smash in Germany, which makes DWAS's smashing there even more impressive Spoiler Unless you all already knew that. In that case, carry on 1

Because it took forever to actually start growing on the radio, same with ARUTW. They wouldn't kick off until after the movie smashing, the Oscars etc....
