I know it's sad that that trash was elected which has even made me not want to stream Disease today because it's too dark but we will get through this! We have LG7 to look forward to. And we're so lucky to have gotten a great song and great video these last couple of weeks. We stan a QUEEN and Trump is not our President. Also, OGHs can keep fuming. SCREAMING but same sis and we will make it out of this nightmare together...slowly but surely. I hope things balance themselves out 1
IBeMe Posted November 7 Posted November 7 it's ok guys! let me bring up something that can lift our spirits up ok?! - Joker 2 box office and critical ratings - Disease streaming numbers - LG7 still 3.5 months away - Tour 2026 not 2025 - DWAS blocked from #1 - Silence and lack of promo since lead single release after 4.5 years! We are winning in the end and we have SO much to look forward to as GaGa always says! Everything is gonna be ok Spoiler 11

frankvert Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I'm telling you (for like the 5th time) that DWAS is going to be the post-Christmas freeze #1. It will be the song radio pushes to the top and then any potential Grammy's splash (whether a performance, wins, or both) will propel it even further. Hell, it might even get to #1 BEFORE the Christmas freeze at this rate. 7

But most radio are going to choose Taste and Bed Chem over Gaga, even Billie's Wildflower if Interscope decides to push it soon.

If they waited a week they could've 1. Released dwas versions/discounts/performance video which would've pushed it to #1 THIS week 2. gave full attention to disease on its release week to be fair, I wouldn't of predicted this either so I'm not blaming her team, but damn; the path to DWAS going #1 is MUCH clearer this week than I read last week
Denim Posted November 7 Posted November 7 DWAS can totally still go #1. unfortunately they kinda used the majority of their tools already… but it could still happen for sure. Another round of new versions? (Sped-up/slowed down? dance remix?) release the other performance they did? im not sure 2

Bad News Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Gaga ain't doing shite for the rest of the year and I can't even blame her. These last ~40 days have been... challenging, to say the least. 7 1

I blame the elections. As long as no huge song comes or an album bomb arrives, I bet DWAS can rise organically to #1 once radio catches up. 1

Konril Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Let's predict where DisJesus lands in the TTH this Friday. It's not that significant anyway as some of y'all pointed out.
LadyGagaChina Posted November 7 Posted November 7 so Ms.Disease officially became Gar's worst performing first single.
Chaos Angel Posted November 7 Posted November 7 The T20 cutoff being back to 110 pts already Gaga picked the worst possible week to release Disease because literally any other week would've allowed a T20 debut 1

Which is kind of wild, since I actually believe there was a universe where this didn't need to be the case. Especially since it had a generally positive reception. I think she and her team want to have this sort of "music talking for itself" era especially since DWAS became a hit with little to no effort from Interscope. But with a heavy pop song like Disease, they definitely needed to probably help mould it into being something more than what it's become. At least it's a bop though. Edited November 7 by Jack!
Denim Posted November 7 Posted November 7 We are at the phase in Gaga's career (since 2018) where a Gaga song either completely smashes (Shallow, DWAS, ROM, AWRUTW) or completely bombs (Stupid Love, Disease, hold my hand) she's quite unique in this situation, where I feel like many artists 10+ years in their career that are still relevant tend to get "decent" sized hits, but with Gaga it's all out or all in; which is kinda the fun of stanning her- you never know what you're gonna get 3
