Popular Post Infernal Paradise Posted November 5 Popular Post Posted November 5 Once her hits multiplied, she switched up her electro-pop aesthetic, diving into classic rock, country and the great American songbook; she has made philanthropy and LGBTQ+ rights a core part of her professional identity; and she is the only person on the planet who has been nominated for a best actress Oscar and headlined a Super Bowl halftime show. She has kept us on our toes for 15 years, reinventing what a modern pop star can achieve, while also delivering banger after banger. Oh this SPILL. Maybe this write-up can help liddos realize how unique and special is the woman they stan who can never be defined by just numbers. 23 1

Mikeymoonshine Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I wad saying they better put her in the top 5 so it's good they did. I don't think the actual placement matters. Top two will probably be Beyonce and Taylor and that's deserved. I hope Beyonce is number 1 personally. 1
Popular Post Blairbear Posted November 5 Popular Post Posted November 5 I've been thinking this for a while, but Gaga's career trajectory and niche as a pop-star/ entertainer seems more akin to David Bowie than Madonna, Britney etc. Bowie had a long career with lots of ups and downs; when he smashed he absolutely smashed and when he flopped he flopped but he was constantly reinventing himself when it came to both his image and sound. Bowie was a bit of a rebel like Gaga and often did what was contrary to what was popular, and he carved a niche in popular music where he did his own thing but was still able to influence other artists. I see Gaga in a similar way with navigating many different fields of artistry, performance, and entertainment and slowly carving out her own special lane in popular culture. A friend once said to me that Gaga wants to be a pop star on her own terms without having to 'play' the game, and I think that's mostly true. It might mean that Gaga won't always be getting the massive hits, but it does mean she'll have a very long career in entertainment, and in decades, we'll hopefully be able to see her influence come through. 26 1

DWAS already above on Spotify Charts though I think APT. still above on the Spotify counter, but it won't have the longevity that DWAS has. It's actually doing less on the counter/in unfiltered streams now too. Die With a Smile: 10,562,830 APT.: 10,441,200

The way her buying a $10k leather coat is probably akin to us buying a t-shirt at Goodwill so I'm sure she'd just get another with no problems if that happened lol Edited November 5 by Aston Martin
