Excited for the full reaction, though. Hope it helps!

hausofbryan Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I see Gaga now reposting choreo videos, taking a new tactic after the makeup transitions weren't landing. Too bad all of the choreo just ain't iT She's really doomed with this fanbase of aching backs and 7pm bedtimes 4
Chaos Angel Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Her team needs to start putting in some work for a respectable 150k+ debut cause 200k seems out of the window at this point. Pre orders up next week & let them build. 2nd single in Jan along with video & promo single closer to release. Preferably one being a collab—if there is one—to build hype. Grammys performance & SNL on release week. 1
GraceRandolph Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I think it's time for a visual album or something else. This traditional release strategy is not it for ha at this stage. 2

Konril Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Die With A Smile sold 16,000 (up 329%) aided by three new versions, which, like the original mix, were discounted to 69 cents in the iTunes Store during the tracking week. "Live in Las Vegas" and instrumental versions were released Oct. 29, followed by an acoustic version Oct. 31. Digital sold 16k, vinyls and CDs not counted yet, I presume with the delay in shipping. Maybe Disease will earn more love later on its chart run. Took a while for it to grow on me, but it is a great song.
Jack! Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I wonder if they would have pushed things back if she hadn't posted the instagram post about XX October back at the beginning of September. Considering she wasn't shooting the Disease video until the 8th October I believe it was people worked out, maybe if she didn't feel obliged after posting about it, she would have skipped a 2024 single altogether and let DWAS live the rest of the year out itself. I love Disease and I am glad we got it, but the 25th was a sticky release date and she probably could have got away with waiting until the top of 2025. Let's just look at it as a nice treat for the fans and an amuse-bouche to the LG7 era. 1

HeavyMetalAura Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I don't care about chart positions but #27 SHOOK me like damn. I mean it is what it is but I thought she'd have the power to at least pull an effortless Top 15 with a comeback lead single. Oh well. 1

This traditional release strategy is not it for ha at this stage. Yeah. Her team might be struggling to carry the pop Gaga brand. Is she a singles or an album artist in the streaming era? With Harlequin (album) and Disease (single) it seems like she's hitting a wall and she could benefit from a pivot like Beyoncé did with ST. And sorry to be a downer but her team has been winging it a lot since Chromatica. They also reacted too late when Bloody Mary went viral and now with DWAS they realized too late it had a chance to go no.1. I had faith in them this time, that they learned after the backlash from fans and Gaga's damage control posts (2 now: Nurtgate and "there's A LOT more coming" for LG7), but they keep doing this amateur stuff only when it comes to her pop rollouts. 1
