I'd rather she said both are ****, and called them out on their inhuman takes, just like Muss Thunberg did a couple weeks ago, 'love'.

If she's okay with Harris's active support of Netanyahou's actions, then I regret to inform you she's no better. But maybe you are okay with it, too, and that's why you don't see the problem.

And what exactly is that supposed to achieve? Nothing. There are two options, Trump and Kamala. Jill Stein is irrelevant. This election is not just about Palestine. People have other problems too. I don't know what you people don't understand about that. People are worried about Trump taking away their rights, attacking democracy, etc.

Btw, it would be nice if we could finally find an alternative to Twitter. I can't stand this guy anymore.

Why compare Gaga to someone who's not from the US and not part of the administration? I doubt Greta would dare to make that kind of statement if she's from the US and part of either political party.

Have you heard/seen other powerful American celebrities made a statement like that? You are asking and expecting too much from Gaga that she would make a statement on every issue.

Well, BlueSky is right there. But people have to accept they'll mostly have to start from scratch and lose their "internet popularity" to move on though. :bird:

We have regressed into fully making up fanfic about Gaga's supposed position regarding genocide. Not only is this bs insufferable, it's not the right forum for any kind of nuance that would be necessary to discuss these issues in a real way. Take it elsewhere.

Not "nuance" lol. Funny how none of you had these reactions when she was speaking up about the Russian invasion in Ukraine mid-Oscar campaign. Back then it was all :clap3:s and "yass activistGa!".

N E Ways, did anyone try the Disease, I thought the Disease was catchy.

Also her endorsing Kamala. No wonder Gaga didn't say a word about Palestine.

I almost gave her the benefit of the doubt, but what a dumb *****.

The dumb ***** here is you, piece of ****.
Are you expecting her to refuse to vote or choose Trump? ******* moron, get your ass out of here.

I mean, this all started with a terrorist attack that killed hundreds of innocent people. The response has been absurdly inhumane, but to compare it to a land-grab by a dictator speaks to political illiteracy or an obvious distortion of history.

I'm not here to discuss politics but at the same time I'm proud of Gaga she's giving a speech. Her last one was very touching, the one about trump and him grabbing daughters, sisters etc. She really has voice and gp in America knows that.

I think her feelings on him are very personal given her experience with sexual assault. I can only imagine the rage she feels when he says he'll protect women "whether they like it or not."

A random gay posting about politics in gaga base is just the same as Gaga speaking about Palestine - it won't make any difference, lbr here.

Idk, as a Lebanese American, and survivor of Israeli bombing (I can tell you hours of stories about how much Israel and the IDF in particular lies about their military assaults - thank god most of the world is seeing it play out in real-time because when I was a kid, any sort of first-hand account of that kind of violence would get shut down as a lie, even if you have evidence to say otherwise. You think the human shield excuse or "weapons under hospitals" is a new tactic from the IDF? Think again!), none of this is really new or surprising.

 :suburban:

It's really unheard of to have major A-list celebrities call out a US-ally for atrocities, especially ones like Gaga that have ties to the current admin. It's sad, but something I've had to accept since I was a kid. There is truth in saying that Americans don't care about our lives (or worse, they blame us directly for their suffering), so I've learn to sadly just not expect anyone to come to bat for us or defend us in any sort of discussion whatsoever. The rare exceptions when it does happen is just that, a rare exception.

Gaga always endorses the dems idk why any fan of hers would be mad about that or expect her not to lol.

I also wish she'd support Palestinians but regardless of how terrible Kamala is on that issue Trump is worse and far worse on basically everything else. He's even worse than he was when he was actually president he wasn't having meetings with open neo nazis then like he is now.

Well, Gaga is probably the best speaker among her peers and one of the best celebrity speakers. That's what I think the reason why they ask her to make a statement on Kamala's final rally.
