I remember when filming happened and all of the conservatives and trumpers were whining about joker having a sequel and making it "woke" by having Gaga as Harley Quinn. She's also going to be campaigning for Biden next year so the conservatives are going to riot. Matt Walsh and others with similar views are already preparing their pitchforks to go after Gaga if the film goes a certain way and honestly I can't wait because I love when Gaga pisses off the conservatives and at the end of the day we know the film is still going to remain a massive box office success whether they're on board or not. From Eras to Renni to Barbie, women-centered content has done well. I can see women being a third core demographic watching JFAD on top of Gaga stans and DCU fans.

Best case scenario it brings a lot of them while not alienating men who watched the first movie, or maybe it calls on other men. Excluding lgbt audiences (men and women), which will obviously show up for Gaga unless the movie is super problematic or something, but being a minority, it's not a large enough audience for a movie to smash.

Yeah, her movies have been date night, and mother/daughter classics at this point. I think the Joker 2 audience is going to be very couple's oriented (not sure about the mom demo though). The Hot Topic girls love Harley as a character (Margot & animated version on HBO), so I predict they'll show up out of curiosity. 1
