Virgos Groove Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Dream list of producers for this next album: James Ford: an absolute must, his soundscapes are always so rich and KOL was amazing SG Lewis: this one is pretty obvious, a match made in heaven Sam Gellaitry: I feel like he and mother could deliver some 11/10 bops, I really do Stuart Price: something Balearic like his That Kind of Woman remix would be perfect Biff: an old name but the track record doesn't lie; his hits STICK Peggy Gou: the remix wasn't all that (you can't improve an already perfect song), but I'd still love to hear an original song or two Sky Adams: his track record is pretty poor, but Supernova was amazing and the extended mixes were a huge improvement, so I won't count him out entirely Also, her + Disclosure circa 2014/15 would've been PERFECTION, but I guess that train has passed
Virgos Groove Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 (edited) She's actually insane for this... the IYE/GITM mashup, the CGYOOMH remix, the hairstyle, the fact that she brought out one of her most creative and forward-thinking performances for a Royal Variety show of all places This is why the Fever will never be matched, she just didn't give a ****. She knew she was that ***** and she acted like it. Edited December 31, 2022 by ATWK

This is easily one of her best performances ever, her stage presence is ridiculous here judging from how composed yet confident and radiant she looks.
skizzo Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Not sure what to think about the "Slow" inspired new album
ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 (edited) I fear this might be better than Disco. Sincerely Yours, One Last Kiss, Live a Little, Shelby '68, Radio On, Lost Without You, Every Little Part of Me, Rollin' etc. The lyrics are so well-written, Kylie hasn't ever sounded this intimate outside Impossible Princess, and I am glad she chose to follow up something as commercial as Kiss Me Once with something as personal as Golden. Edited January 2, 2023 by ithinkheknowsoutsold
Virgos Groove Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 I feel like I would enjoy Golden if the production didn't sound like it was made on a $5,99 budget and if the country schtick (because that's all it is, it's basically a pop album with yeehaw strings) weren't so on the nose. Like, A Lifetime to Repair is so catchy but that 2013 Avicii'd instrumental is just- But, hey, it saved her career and got her back into songwriting, so lemme keep it cute.
Virgos Groove Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 SayHell is saying January 27th is the date, with Katerina Jebb being involved (is it Time's Up for Sophie Muller and her fugly ass videos?). 'Tension' and 'Hold On' are two titles floating around. @raven @ithinkheknowsoutsold Get UP, mother is coming to drop her next bible.

So excited for the new era, 27 January can't come any faster!

Is this going to be her first non-Christmas video since Black and White to not be directed by Sophie? Coincidentally Black and White was directed by Katerina Jebb too, so it'll be interesting to see if she does better this time since that video was uber boring.

ITB felt to me like the "ethereal Kylie midtempo" formula being ran to the ground. SS fits the same mold, but does something new by stripping it all back and having no real chorus. The extended version is a career highlight. Either way, I don't want it to sound like ITB or SS. Enough with the emotional midtempos as a lead single. Bring back the BOPS. The B&W video is pretty boring, but it had a budget of like 10 dollars, so I reserve some hope.

Virgos Groove Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 The way Madead and Britknee stans are already dragging her all over ATRL... they know MOTHER is returning

It was her sweetness that led to me becoming such a huge fan of hers.
ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Wow at the choreo she served throughout this tour (almost every song has a separate dance break with Kylie leading her pack of dancers), I had no idea Kylie was this competent a dancer. It's a shame that her post-Light Years performances have avoided her experimenting with choreography, they could've elevated already legendary tours to godly levels.
