really surprised how well mine is received during live shows.  like the sing along was as loud as her other hits at the vegas show i went to.

Anyone with access to a computer know how much mine belasco did on Spotify as a partial day?

From people who’ve heard the new songs, they don’t think any of them are single choices, which does beg the question why they’re releasing this deluxe without a focus (if they’re right)

If it's the same people that said FKOH was a summer smash wow best song ever in the universe, I will wait to actually listen to the material.

Also, we don't need a single anyway. We have 6 already!

perched for the reissue but cant deny i'm bummed at how she treated My December during the residency. Only album without a song on the main setlist kinda stung ngl

To be fair, MD has been snubbed on every tour after Stronger. What is more weird to me is that her team knows perfectly well at this point that Sober is the fan favourite yet they deliberately choose to never include it as a constant song in a setlist while putting stuff no one asked for like MKIA or HBS lol. I understand playing the most known songs, but not including at the very least the one favourite everyone always asks for?

yeah and tbh she couldve lost one of the Breakaway singles by now, not all 5 need to be performed especially if the show was a bit of a career ristrsopect/album launch promo

Honestly, I’m kinda hoping the residency convinces them to put Never Again back into her regular setlist cause the crowd absolutely ATE IT UP

Never again was also a top 10 platinum hit and bigger than a few of the hit songs she has on her set list.

At this point I think Kelly just wants little to no reminder of the My December era. That period of her life is very tainted.
The reason why Kelly emotes so well is because she’s an empath: so I understand why she wouldn’t want to visit the songs

that express very directly about the dark place she was in and experiencing all of those emotions again while performing.

I'm kind of at the point where I just want them to send lighthouse to radio and push it to playlists. The release 2 days before the album dropped didn't really benefit from playlisting as rock hudson as the focus track took a lot of the friday playlisting for new songs. I genuinely think lighthouse could be a big radio success for her on Hot AC, and has the potential to cross over. At the show I was at she even said her team told her it was blowing up on streaming (I don't see that on Spotify but who knows about the other services that don't display playcounts - luminate subscription anyone?haha).

Re tour setlisting, I respectfully disagree with the calls to remove a breakaway song. If I went to a show as a somewhat casual fan and didn't hear one of the big 4 from that album, I'd be quite disappointed (h***, as a stan I'd be disappointed). I would say, Walk Away would be the logical call to bin one if you had to but she goes awwfff on that song so tbh we shouldn't really want it to go :p

I do agree that Never Again should be back on the permanent setlist (in place of where Invincible was originally). That said, I'd also like Already Gone to be permanent (in my ideal world), but I actually think she got the setlisting absolutely as close to perfection as possible with the alternating second class singles and deep album cuts. When you have a back catalogue as big as KC does, there are always going to be some songs that take a hit, and I felt like she dealt with it really well this residency. That said, if she ever did tour again, I'd like to think her team would be smart enough to tell her to do the "secondary singles" that were hits in respective countries (i.e. Mr Know It All in Australia and UK).

In terms of streaming, I'm pleasantly surprised to see that the residency gave mine a slight uptick in daily streams. I'm also pleased to see the live version doing actually pretty well for what it is. I am a little bit disappointed in the song's overall streaming numbers because it's actually a fantastic song, but to go back to the start of the post, I think lighthouse will be the enduring song from this album (if they play it well with radio and streaming).

^^ also would like to say, justice for down to you as well, especially as it's (just) the most streamed track that didn't benefit from any pre-release or focus track status. Should have been the joint release with mine, or released instead of fkoh imo but I think that ship might have sailed, unless we get a single after xmas

Down To You is the OBVIOUS single choice. Push that if you're gonna push anything.

Also, from a streaming point of view, Kelly's Christmas catalogue has now gone up by over 10m streams on Spotify since the 1st January 2023 data. The majority of those would have been carry over streams from the start of January, but the daily streams are picking up again, with UTT already having daily streams larger than some of the chemistry tracks...

If you're interested in the breakdown

I would love for Never Again to be included on the regular setlist again.  I personally would get rid of Walk Away, WLW, and HBS.  But that's a pipe dream since she loves singing the first two and the last is River's favorite.

Posted

WA and WLW are literally the highlights of the show. If she is removing a BA song, remove the snooze fest title track she doesn't even like singing.

I haven't been super up to date on Kelly lately, but did she happen to mention (maybe somewhere in her banter during the residency) what they are planning for the next single to be??

Is there even gonna be a single, what a boring era so far! The album is great but the release of this has been such a snooze

This era was DOA once Kelly decided not to make any music videos :noparty:

Seems like Kelly is booked for another concert in October… this time with Maroon5 and OneRepublic

I can't believe this residency is over. That last show was incredible :clap3:

Sober, AMLT, her kids coming out to sing with her, the Happier Than Ever cover, the fan interactions, it was all so amazing.

So happy I got to experience it in person.

I was at the last two shows of (this leg of) the residency and WHEW.

Friday night (8/18) was the single best show I have ever seen from Kelly.  Vocals were unreal, really solid set list (hearing IDTAY and Never Again in the same show was a great moment for me), and she just LOOKED like she was having the time of her life.  There's something different and new about her energy post-divorce, like she's remembering who she is as an artist.  I love how much she interacted with her fans and I love how her band and the people around her were all so nice not only to her but to all of us.

Saturday night was also great, with a few enormous standout moments (Sober and Happier Than Ever) - Didn't I live was awesome and AMLT was really cute.

I love what 'mine' has become live.

I don't love love Vegas but will be returning when she does.

I am excited for more news about some shows in NYC this fall!
