The way this coronation has been nothing but great press for Katy so far is a kii:deadbanana2:

She really killed that performance tho

I can't stop thinking about the dress! It looks so beautiful. :jonny:

People seem to have really enjoyed the performance. The comments on the official YouTube video of her performance by the BBC have been overwhelmingly positive. I kinda wish she did something else with the setlist since it was too predictable but at the same time I don't know what else she could've done.

The official video by the way:

Metamorphosis is finally coming

Even if her chart success isn't half what it used to be, seeing her perform (and killing it) at such a big event again made me contemplate her career a little bit.

Her spirit was so visibly damaged because of that unwarranted hate train, but at looks as though Katy really has made the right decisions to come out of that relatively well. She rekindled a lost love and was able to start a family, gaining newfound perspective and a higher sense of love. I would almost call it poetic if I wasn't disgusted by how she was treated in 2017/2018.

I also still think she deserves way more credit for popping out a baby and an album all in one week despite far from ideal circumstances in 2020.

She always works hard but that was something else entirely. Really felt a sense of pride to be her fan yesterday evening.

We truly don’t talk about this part enough. Like we always talk about how it ruined her career but people were CONVINCED she was doing hardcore drugs when she went on Ellen that one time just for it to be… nothing :deadbanana4:. And I got so many messages saying she was off the rails from the one Migos performance when it was just that the rug was ripped out from under her and she was trying to improvise

I felt that pride too. She’s so fantastic and inspiring. Literally a firework in human form.

Maybe I'm being delusional but it really does feel like the stars are aligning for her to have a moment again. Her streams are up, public goodwill seems to be too, if she plays her cards right she could have something special on her hands. But no @ the song going viral because of tiktok as that doesn't create long term success. Capitol do not f*ck this up I'm begging you
