People on twitter are saying that.. I’m not an expert so I don’t really know how it goes but apparently the audience number on pop radio is decreasing and it shouldn’t be happening right after it being no1 and they’re claiming that’s a sign they’re pulling it slowly

“Pulling songs off radio” is not a thing

It’s a made up term by Stan twitter whenever a song starts decreasing, no label would every actively pull a song off of radio

Well this is a bummer honestly… I got excited but like I said I’m not really sure how that works or if that’s a thing

I mean... it is a thing, there were some interviews with label people admitting it and it makes sense... but it happens much less often than most stans would like to admit :celestial5:

Stans just overuse it and every time their fav song peaks and simply starts dropping they pull up that silly excuse "oh, it must be the label!!!" :toofunny3:

I need her to return so bad guys... I'm listening to FN again to soothe myself but the novelty is wearing off. It's truly time for new songs, a new album.. a new era. November is TOO long, I need it NOW

It happens VERY rarely, like when Rih had Only Girl, WMN? and S&M out so they decided to not promote Who’s That Chick to radio anymore

That’s literally the only case I can recall, Dua literally doesn’t have one other song out rn than DTN so them ‘pulling it from radio’ makes no sense

Cheers dying very abruptly to make room for WFL and TTT was also def a case of them killing the song.

Well, that was kinda my point too. It does happen but indeed is very rare (I could name a few more examples tho).

I really don't think it's the case with DTN either

Same.. I was reading Future Nostalgia thread just the other day on one of the forums and I loved seeing the reactions to the teasing and all of the speculations..

Wait why are people on Twitter hyped about DL3 apparently coming soon and some are even mentioning her announcing the lead tomorrow? I have being in the dark :psyduck:

For the impatient girls, I know where you are coming from. But it only feels like yesterday everybody was feeling like she was getting oversaturated but Dua served a pop girl era with longevity I feel like I haven't seen since Katy's Teenage Dream era. She deserves this break and I don't see her losing the hype off the back of the huge tour and dabbling into other areas she's proving to be successful in (the fashion collabs, podcasts).

Not long before Lipa Beauty but if she releases next year, go for it and enjoy a few more well deserved holidays.

September 29th would be too early. Dance The Night still has legs.

She should wait for mid November at least

She should do no such thing. Her songs never take off immediately anyway, it’s not like it would surpass DTN immediately if it was released right now.

This. She needs to act fast & drop asap cuz there are ton of album drops coming in late October / November that will clog the charts and in December Christmas songs will block any non holiday song from reaching #1 (and we need the lead to reach it, it’s long overdue)

"She should do a break", "oversaturated", etc.. she can take a break when shes 40+ years for all I care. Now is the time to milk it. She's en vogue, she represents a zeitgeist, Radio loves her, like Dua, FEED US :jonny5:
