The way the public holds Bey to such an impossibly high standard is fascinating, especially when it comes to live performances. Even her so-called "worst" shows are better than most peiople's best. Yet, people seem to quickly forget that. There are moments like her iconic sets at Glastonbury, Super Bowl, Coachella, The Stevie tribute and the VMA's where even her harshest critics can't help but acknowledge her brilliance. But then there are performances like her twins pregnancy at the Grammys, phenomenal, yet always met with the "overrated" label, particularly when the media builds it up.

The point is, Bey has to nail it every time to avoid being dragged. While this is undeniably unfair, it clearly pushes her to constantly raise the bar. I'm hoping for an unforgettable performance this time around - something with insane vocals, a surprise appearance from a legend (Dolly), Bar song for the hit. With her public scrutiny at an all time high, she really needs these elements to hit it out the park and remind everyone why she is the performing legend of our generation.

I think hive is the one putting way too much pressure on her. Bey is not new to do this. The woman has a 30 year plus career...she does not have a single thing to prove to poppers gang like the swifties or little cutters and other dumb fanbases.

Beyonce first 30 min of the renee tour where she is just singing is more than enough to put those losers to shame. Just enjoy the show and not expect her to moonwalk in the air.

That Kim K video was kind of genius and got me hype for the visuals again

Formation Tour started less than 2 years after OTR which started three months after MCSWT

Idk why certain Beyoncé fans act like touring isn't her bread and butter. If you want to sit this next one out it'll just make it that much easier for the rest of us to get tickets :psyduck:

You don't need to remind me of this, I simply mean the social commentary around her performances and what the GP resonates with is interesting.

For me, I said all I want are insane vocals and some sort of guest appearance and I will be satisfied, her performance skills are not in question.

I love her stuff, I could watch it all day.

one of my faves was the one with the AI Jolene version, where the lady was dragging the shotgun through the desert in heels. I can't find it now.

I forgot about that.

If he is in the visuals it's so sad he passed away before he got to see them released.

I guess most live sport events can't be rewatched after the game is over, so that's probably why… the performance should be on youtube regardless, like all the other NFL performances. Everyone will be reposting it regardless so it would be stupid to not give people a proper way to rewatch the performance

You're see right about that one too. And knowing Bey and Netflix they just MIGHT attempt to gatekeep but I truly feel we will at least be able to see Bey's performance online. Whether she uploads it through her main channel or some fans just upload them hehehe, I just think it's SO weird to gatekeep art like this. Money or not, she's too rich to give af anymore. :deadbanana2:

Lowkey, I think we need to retire the label of her being the best performer of our generation and change it to "All Time" LMAOOO!!! Because she's done so much to the point now where I truly feel it rivals and even potentially surpasses Michael in certain areas. At the least they are EVEN. But dare I say, she edges him out! :deadbanana2:

Michael's vocals didn't always serve - but he was a great performer for sure

I feel like in the Beyhive it is, but for the rest of the Str8's it's not for some reason (misogyny lmao). Like she's always second to him because he's the first the world has ever witnessed with his level of stage presence. But then Bey came along and she's the only one we've ever had to rival him, and quite frankly I feel surpasses him not just vocally but also conceptually now. :deadbanana2:

YES TO THISSS!!! While vocally he's one of the best male vocalists we've ever had in Pop, you could not PAY ME enough to say he's equal to Beyonce when it comes to vocals on any front, lmaooo!!! If you were to say that then you would also have to say Michael is the equivalent to Whitney and Mariah. And we aaalll know the answer to that, LMAOOO!!!! :deadbanana2:
