Be Alive is such a stain…seeing she can most likely be #1 next week,  I will forever be salty Be Alive couldn’t chart and threw off her Hot 100 record amongst women.

On a related note, I really think we are getting the cover imminently.

Re-checked and realized that we got the Rennie artwork exactly a week after BMS dropped.

Regardless of whether Texas is smashing, sis needs to get her presales/pre-order game going asap.

I sense she may align it with TH'E huge debut on Hot 100 and #1 on the Country chart. So, essentially tomorrow.

The only thing throwing my timeline is Cecred dropping Feb 20. Sidebar: very here for Cecred, but the launch timeline being at the exact same time as Act II will either a) work great and serve mutually beneficial or b) be a convoluted mess that hinders the both of their rollouts.

she might reveal the cover and pre-order link when Texas officially hits #1 or this friday at the earliest. i don't see her doing it at the same time as cecred

another reason why all three acts aren't called Renaissance:

Dream said that she came to record MY HOUSE to finish the RENAISSANCE era. she wouldn't be finishing it if it ain't ova

The UK charts are saying Dua Lipa is leading the race and B isn't far behind.

I think album title and preorder will come when the #1 debut is announced. Or is that too obvious and she hates obvious

Is 16C sent to radio?

I'd like a list of artist who hasn't had a number one hit since a decade (or more) ago. :gaycat5:

That will quickly change, Dua is way behind Beyonce in all other metrics (outside of the physical sales Dua did, which she's only 3k behind).  Beyonce will be #1

I don't wanna keep my hope high because she was close with BTINH/ BMS but ended up getting blocked.

She gave us Be Alive as a theme song for this moment and she knew if it charted, this going #1 wouldn’t be as impactful

Her mind :clap3:

Dua had big drops on streaming, and isn't even top 10 on Spotify in the UK

When we get a country version of Brown Skin Girl on tour and Blue comes out to sing this time :frown: And when she rides a chrome mechanical bull for Suga Mama :WAP:

I'm so nervous for the streaming numbers in the morning, Sunday is always so weak for her, and I just hope the song rebounds if it takes a big drop

Rodeo World Tour not having any single song from the Renaissance World Tour and then the act iii tour including only the three albums would be a moment. :jonny:

I think 16 Carriages is serving its purpose wonderfully…i think it serves as more of a “1+1” moment rather than XO/IIWAB. In the sense that…Beyonce performed & released 1+1 shortly after to soothe over those that were turned off by the sound of RTW and skeptical about the album.  Texas is the single they wanted but who could predict that it would be received well like this so she gave ppl something else to chew on. Very smart.

Even now…there’s people on social media saying that 16 deserves the success that Texas is having instead. So even those that don’t like Texas…the love for 16 Carriages is going to draw people to still check out the album.  It’s a win. Back in the day….she’d be performing these 2 songs everywhere like she did with 1+1 throughout the 4 era.

She put out 16 carriages because she knew TH'E was too fun, and carefree, and she had to show the depth of the album, IMO - but she was pushing TH'E as the single, so limited exposure at first to avoid confusion.

Some thoughts:

Yall think she’s doing the boxes again? I’ll get one and the alt cover vinyls like last time. And eventually the collectors vinyl if she goes that route again for Act 2. Gonna buy all the digital singles for Texas later in the week to help get her to number 1.

Im actually looking forward to Cecred!! The Essence interview was great and the fact that they have patent pending technology/ingredients tells me they are not playing around with this haircare line. I’m definitely buying some items upon release and giving them a try. My hair has been kinda dry lately so perfect timing on her part.

Im sad that there seems to be no update on RWT Film being released digitally/physically. And now with Act 2 underway I’m worried that this means it’s forever going to be a theater only release. I’m not sure what’s the hold up here. :deadbanana4:

Also I haven’t really given my thoughts on the new Country Bey but so far I’m actually surprised at how much I like these songs. And dare I say they grew on me a lot faster than BMS did. I appreciate BMS a lot more now but I’ve always been kinda 50/50 on the song. THE took longer to grow on me but now it’s a love. 16 is a beautiful song that felt familiar but fresh to me. Overall I’m excited for what’s to come. Act 1 has become my favorite album by farrrr but Act 2 is shaping up to be high up in her discography for me too.

She continues to amaze me after all these years. On the verge of yet another solo #1 hit and a country one at that. I mean nothing else needs to be said that hasn’t already been said about how legendary this all is. It speaks for itself.

Whatever she does, she needs WAY more vinyls available.

I agree.

Storytelling is the hallmark of country music and a song like “16 Carriages”  helps to establish the intention & credibility of this musical pivot. A fun song like Texas could be interpreted as a joke or mockery like some country ventures.

Another reason I’m glad she’s singing in her natural voice and not doing some exaggerated fake country twang like others.
