I think there’s lots of great tracks on Love Sux. So I know she’s a great artist that delivers quality music.

Oh I agree! I think she’s had great songs on all of her albums, but Avalanche just really gives me that classic Avril vibe from Let Go and Under My Skin.

Bite Me is peak Love Sux imo but it shows that when they send a song out to be produced and mastered professionally - we get the right sound. Same as Head Above Water. I’m sick of her only sending her leads out for re-production and mastering by A-Class professionals. We need the whole records re mixed, re mastered and re produced by these guys.

Idk if this tweet is accurate. But if you combine all 6 of her soldout tour dates in Germany, she turned out roughly 40k fans.

That's equivalent to 2 big arena shows: 2 at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin...or 1 at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, and 1 at either Lanxess Arena in Cologne or at Barclays Arena in Hamburg.:clap3:

That's also equivalent to 1 stadium show at Olympiastadion in Berlin.:alexz:

If I were on her team, next era I'd have her perform in front of 40k or 50k fans at one big show, instead of scheduling > 4 tour dates in small venues and ultimately let her burn herself out.:bam:

Most of her European fans travel all over the continent to see her live anyway. At every show I went to last month, there were dozens of Italian and LATAM Avrilizers in the front row.:toofunny3:

Do we have any information yet on what sound she’s going for with A8? Is she sticking with the pop/punk?

A little bit of everything

Artist involved on AL8:

- Travis Barker

- Feldman

- A guy from All Time Low

- Yungblud

Rumour:

- Gayle

- Tyga

- Saweetie

She talked about a collab no one expect… it could be Tyga

We don't know.... at the same time we dont need another LS sound album

As far i remember she work since September on this album, she was still with MS maybe she already change direction of this album, we dont know if she atually was saving some of the songs that we know she planned to used for LS for AL8

it's her 8th album she has been here 21 years, she can do whatever she wants

I wish she could do something more in the direction of Im A Mess, Avalanche, My Happy Ending & Nobody's Home

Ngl her closing the last several shows with HTNGU is unforgivable. As if IWY as the final song wasn't anti-climatic enough.

I totally agree... she just can't do many shows in a row anymore

But a big show for +40k ppl with a very weak opener like Phem/Girlfriends is something she can't do in many places. The german-speaking countries are one of her strongest markets. I can see her doing it in most of Asian countries too. Honestly I'm not sure about the rest of the world

Posted

Hmmm I don't think she would sell out 40K venue tbh.... I mean she sold out the smaller venues because they were all spread out / German people didn't have to all travel to one place but could choose a closest location....And also, let's not forget the tour was postponed 3 times so she really had time to sell out all the shows.

Sometimes I have the feeling AL8 will be like AL5, a mix of her sounds and stuff.

I hope she will follow a path like in Let Go, UMS and TBDT even if she works with different producers

I think her self-titled album had some genuine career highlights like Give You What You Like, Falling Fast and Hush Hush, but it also had some career lows like Sippin’ On Sunshine and Hello Kitty so hopefully AL8 is more of the former.

Weird question but has Avril ever talked about kids/ wanting to have them?

  • Thanks 1

Yes in some interviews from the past she had said she would like to have kids "one day".

But I don't think it's what she really wants, I can't see her stable in relationships or imagining her at home all day playing with kids and stuff.

I just listened to Anesthesia and I hope it’s for AL8 as it’s one of the best Avril songs I’ve heard in awhile. This better not be a Love Sux scrap! :chick3:

She def won't be able to perform in front of large crowds in the US, Australia, New Zealand, or certain parts of Europe.

But she has a good chance in places like Canada, Asia, LATAM, and maybe even the UK.

The tour had been sold out since 2019. They even had to upgrade venues, which also quickly sold out.

She can consolidate several tour dates at small venues into a few tour dates at larger venues, because most Europeans can travel by train (like most of her Eastern European fans did when they all went to Vienna).

My point is that she's far enough along in her career NOT to be performing at Sabrina Carpenter-sized venues.:rip:

I just noticed we are boosting the whole page by upvoting and liking each other posts. Liddos should be in danger, but let's overtake Belly fanbase in likes first.

I remember when I saw her in Italy for the Bonez Tour she played for 100.000 people (crazy isn't it?) and something similar happened at the last Rock in Rio, I read articles and saw shocking pics, people ran from the Palco Mundo to the Palco Sunset and they counted about 100.000 people as well.

Obviously, it was a festival, both times. Like Coachella, open air.

I don't know if the EU tour went so well because of the fact it was postponed so many times and they had years to sell out almost all the arenas, but I still remember they had firstly reserved such small venues for the original Head Above Water Tour in Europe, (some arenas had a capacity of 3000 people) and they upgraded in way bigger venues after tickets had sold out in one morning. So I think the demand in Europe is still there!
