My other fave is a retired Jazz singer who couldn't give a damn about her pop career. I will admit to lashing Kygo as generic before Whatever grew on me became a hit

It's like me turning up to work and just sitting there at my desk and doing nothing... Yeah, I get what you mean. I'm not sure if it's a label/management issue, or Ava herself, but she kinda comes off as a not-serious party girl who just wants to release bops, travel the world, and take selfies Which, in its own way is refreshing because she's anything but pretentious. I'm grateful for what she puts out (she's incredibly consistent), but also would love to see her want to reach a higher level of acclaim... 1
Reginald Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Ava Max has confirmed she's still working on AM3, and reflects on her 2023 accomplishments in a new Billboard interview "For the first time I'm really finding myself, honing in on healing… I really feel like this is everyone's healing era," Max says of the in-process album she hopes will make her fans feel incredible so that they can go out and have fun with their friends without any relationship drama hanging over them. Most importantly, Max confirms that she's in the studio working on the new album now, but says she can't talk about it too much. "I'm excited, there's so much more… This album definitely has a couple record that style, lyric-wise, melody-wise that I've never touched on," she promises.
