If she’s not going to release any more singles from 30, I agree that “To Be Loved” is the song I’d like to see her perform live the most, but we all know she won’t do it.  It’s too big of a risk — she’s already said it’s too emotional for her to sing it live, and we know with her nerves being the way they are (and her track record with Grammys performances) that she’ll almost definitely play it safe. She’s going to do “Easy On Me,” and there’s like, a 1% chance she’ll do a tribute performance if an artist she really loves either dies or gets honored. If she did “To Be Loved” and really nailed it, though, imagine the acclaim.  Not to mention, that song deserves to have its big moment. I cannot believe she would release such an absolute masterpiece and then tell us she’s never singing it again.

True. But in the real world her shows are sold out so that's what matters in the end.

 

Most people dragging her aren't really her fans anyways. So many artists have cancelled shows using whatever excuses but Adele did it and it seems like she killed someone

One of my big takeaways from the Elle article was the fact that she’s sitting on AT LEAST one unreleased music video.  *****, RELEASE IT.   Let’s hope “I Drink Wine” is finally coming to smash and revive the era.

I just don’t understand why she sabotages herself so much.  The fact that she actually had promo lined up for this era and then decided not to follow through on any of it because she had to cancel a residency none of her fans wanted is just…   I’m hoping she revives it in the fall with a big push for “I Drink Wine” as the next single, and hopefully some television appearances as well. A strong promotional campaign might do her wonders come Grammy season.

No one wants residency. She should have listened to her fans and announced Stadium World Tour with maybe 50 dates at the biggest stadiums in Europe and US. Afterwards she can go back into hiding and come back 10 years later

Yeah, as much as we all complain about the long wait between albums, I do genuinely think it would feel more justified if she at least did a proper tour. I’ve said from the very beginning that doing a residency alienated a huge portion of her fan base who could never afford the travel expenses to see her, especially given her track record with cancellations — which, unfortunately, proved to be correct. A stadium tour could easily be accomplished in a few months, and then she could just go back to hiding for 10 years, like you said. I’m hoping the fact that the residency backfired like it did means she won’t do it again, though.

I mean she can just easily fill in one stadium date with 100K people. That means she doesn't necessarily need to do 50 stadium dates. She can just do 20-30 dates in a span of 2-3 months and she can be done with it  It's a win-win situation for her and her fans. She can quickly tour and be done with it while her fans will have chance to see her.

The fact that the Elle article says that she has "at least" one unreleased music video under her belt shows that maybe one (or more) single(s) is(/are) coming after I Drink Wine ? That would be great for but now, the question is : When do they even plan to release IDW ? Tbh, I don't think they'll help re-launch the era / make the album soar on the charts again but who cares, I just want new content from her.
