Dua really has the rats scrambling considering she debuted top 3 on US Spotify with little to no effort and without a male feat

Prisoner debuted that high?  I thought it’d be ‘break my heart’ cause of the album release, dua really doesn’t have much star power to have big debuts yet, she might play the longevity card again tho

Prisoner actually had a solid hype online in it's first few days. It's Dua's second biggest debut on Youtube too, second to Un Dia and we all know latin artists do great there. Lack of radio support in the US and bad timing messed up it's potential.

 

Yeah, I actually love Dua so I'm not trying to downplay her success, she's one of the biggest female hitmakers right now and always come through when it comes to longevity. It was just a genuine surprise a Miley collab gave Dua her biggest streaming debut because some stans used to push a narrative people only streamed the song because of Dua. We see now that was clearly not the case.

Judging debut numbers remains dumb. I remember the days when everyone dragged Rihanna’s singles for not debuting at #1 and then they ate their words when those songs ended up being some of the biggest songs of the last decade lololol.

 

I’m not saying Sweetest Pie will become a decade-defining hit or anything but y’all need to learn to WAIT.
