ChrisTheLoner Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Britney, Kylie, and Madonna being top 3 Rihanna having the last #1 on the chart
Roberto Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Gaga would have achieved more with BTW, TEOG, Judas, Applause, Shallow and Rain On Me. Still incredible. Pink having so many is the real shock to me.

rihannabiggestfan Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 All of Anastacia and Cher's top 10s being top 3
MALAMENTE Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Selena managed to get herself a Top 20 hit which is great
Zoe_ Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Rihanna would be #2 but the chart got cancelled.
skizzo Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 A shame this chart ended. However, it was heavily influenced by the UK, French and German chart. It was also a bit difficult to determine a song's success cause sometimes a song would chart at very different times in each country, especially the 90s and 00s. France for example always got their singles super late, and the UK super early.
Julia Fox Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 You didn’t count Waka Waka and Loca for Shakira

naval23 Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 Nelly's "I'm Like a Bird" peaking at #15 but making #57 on the year end chart - longevity always wins

I just checked and even a minor hit like "Dress You Up" by Madonna charted for six months. Would you care to mention the frontloaded ladies?

Wow super interesting! I noticed Britney's "Crazy" making top 10 of 1999 and #69 the next year-end and had massive longevity on the European Hot 100 with 17 weeks in the top 10 - I didn't realize how massive it was in France wow

It's kind of true - a lot of those top 10 hits had very poor year-end positions because European charts were more frontloaded (some served longevity though!) Ex: Britney's "I'm Not a Girl" #2 peak, #66 year-end Mariah's "I Know What You Want", #1 peak/ #50 year end

Songs like Rescue me, Dear Jessie, Slave 4 U, You'll See, Give it to me, Do Something, Trouble, Control Myself were FAR from being actual hits
