sickboy Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 There she is. Constantly lowering the bar for us all. I'm not surprised tho Xtina's comebacks are always bringing us a new meaning of FIASCO.
BionicWooHoo Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 3 hours ago, SinnerCity said: Wait a minute, why did you guys turned this charts thread into a Christina is a person of colour type of conversation? Isn't this Christina's father? How is this man a person of color Christina is as white as it gets and just like her, a million of white latinos too. Educate yourself people, latinos are not all black This man looks like a white Latino to you? LMAO have you seen a white person before? Do you need a RGB color profile of his skin tone in comparison to your fave? Thank you for posting this though, this just further proves/shows that Xtina has every right to sing in Spanish. 2 hours ago, Scars said: "Keep saying?" ...what? I only mentioned *once* that she went with what's hot right now in latin music for Santo and it's true, hun. I didn't "ignore" La Reina, I'm pretty sure my first post in this thread was quoting a member who mentioned this song. I literally mentioned ranchera in the post you just quoted. No, I do not have a problem with Christina experimenting latin sounds regardless of how much you seem to believe I do. In fact, I made a couple of positive posts about Santo in it's music thread here on ATRL some weeks ago. American stans like yourself being ignorant about Latam music, culture and heritage is what bothered me. You keep on that tired "You have a problem with her making latin music!!!", "you're crying over cultural appropriation!!" or "why can't she do this or that??" note every single time. No, you being upset because I factually explained why those particular latin music genres aren't a part of Christina's "heritage" - which is my point - is what actually started this discourse. You clearly don't have the knowledge and depth to discuss latinidad so please stop deflecting and throwing words until it sticks. For someone that claims to have a probably with "SJWs" and people being "emotional" while discussing a topic, you seem to base your talking points on assumptions A LOT. Your last paragraph has zero to do with any of my posts you quoted. I do not care about your asian ancestry, your resentment towads "Sjws", what you wear or what type of music you listen. Awkward. I'm done btw, there's really nothing substantial to take from here at this point. I literally mentioned cultural appropriation and sjw once but thats obviously what you latch onto while selectively ignoring what I had to say about ranchera being a music genre that is not currently dominating latin radio airwaves. If she "wanted" La Fuerza to chart, then she would have released 6 reggae songs, not ranchera or guaracha. I'm not saying you ignored La Reina, I'm saying you ignored that it is part of a genre that is not a popular "trend" the way reggae is and yet Xtina did a ranchera song. Your reading comprehension skills. Yikes. I only brought up my Asian ancestry because its a very easy to comprehend parallel. Do I need to explain the concept of using an analogous scenario or parallel to illustrate a point to you as well? Its so stupid how you keep bringing up the fact that Latin culture isnt a monolith but fail to recognize that it is a huge umbrella and Xtina's heritage falls under that umbrella. At the end of the day, if this is how Xtina feels connected to her heritage, thats personal. If you dont connect with your Latin side by looking at the culture of other nationalities/ethnicities under the Latin umbrella, that's a you problem sweetheart.

He literally looks like a white man tanned, if he had indeed black heritage Christina and her sister would have some latino resemblance but both are the epitome of white women, of course they're latinas, we're not denying her roots, but they're white just like a million other white latinos in SA, and that's absolutely fine, pretending she's anything else other than that is quite delusional. And what the heck where you trying to say when you said that she has every right to sing in Spanish because she's 'mixed race' latina? Are you implying that only black / mixed race latinos can sing in Spanish? What does singing in a different language and using latin rhythms has to do with a skin tone? I hope you somehow got confused explaining your argument but you if you didn't then you're just pretty racist, plain a simple. Edited February 3, 2022 by SinnerCity

That is literally the dumbest interpretation of my post about Xtina’s right to release a Spanish album and it’s so clear you chose to find an “implication of connecting skin tone to singing in Spanish” just to fake clutch your pearls. It’s also hilarious that you’re calling me racist when you’re the one saying a Latino man just looks like a tanned white man…what kind of whites only no fats femmes black Asians but Latinos okay if you look like a tan white man gay mentality…
sickboy Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Screaming with the "afuera afuera" comment and the one calling her a person of colour this site is a mess.
selfmadelatino Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 I think streams need to have a higher weight in the future for BB charts. Especially since there’s less and less physical releases. Most new cars don’t even hav CD players. Streaming is still the future and should have that represented on the charts.

Well that would not have helped Xtina at all, quite the contrary.
ProudLBS Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Some of you never watched the Sopranos or the Asereje music video, right? Southern Europeans can be pretty dark, let alone army guys who spend a lot of time outdoors Yikes at the gatekeeping vibes of “her family is Hispanic and therefore she has every right to sing in Spanish” as if half of the world hasn’t learned some Spanish on Duolingo. My non-Hispanic boyfriend speaks more Spanish than I do cause he watched Rebelde Way and Chiquititas when he was little and a few years ago he went to South America for 3 months to do drugs with his friends. Languages are a way to connect people. Also @ “embracing my Asian roots and culture by listening to Kpop as a Chinese person”, as if Asia is some monolith and China and South Korea aren’t 2 completely different countries. Just say you like Kpop sis, it’s okay

You are saying that Xtina has a right to sing in Spanish because she’s a mixed race person of color! Anybody can sing in Spanish regardless of their heritage and skin color, there isn’t such thing as a ‘right to sing’ you let this conversation derailed and become such a mess when you brought up ethnicity and skin color into a charts conversation and yes! That man looks like a white Latino tanned and if you understood the broadness of race you would t be working overtime trying to convince people that Christina Aguilera is a person of color. Like, that **** just sounds ******* stupid dude.

Not a difficult concept…lmao at all these ATRLers exposing themselves as racist and not having any Asian friends in real life to talk to @mods this is not off topic bc I’m bringing it up as an analogous situation to explain why Christina released this album for her heritage and not the charts

That's like saying Shakira nor Maluma or even J Balvin can't sing in English because they're latinos, or that they couldn't use afrocolombian rhythms because they're white. Race nor skin color has anything to with language and you have certainly become quite rude whilst failing to prove an already dismissed and baseless argument that Christina is a person of color. TheObserv3r Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 this bionic user is on a run, though not the good kind of run. gotta feel sorry actually, the mental gymnastics to justify an EP that failed to chart and turn it (or at least take part) into some sort of incomprehensible discussion about race, ethnicity and heritage??? make it make sense

And lolol aww I was rude to you? Boo hoo, does baby want a lolly?
