Congratulations on making it to the final five! Individual immunity is back up for grabs... The theme for Round 16 is... Emoji Explosion! This round, you'll be defining emojis using songs. There will be five emojis to define. For each emoji, you will be given a picture and then it is your job to choose a track you feel defines that emoji's general message/use. It's important you're not too literal with all the emojis. For example, in season 5, the castaways were given the peach emoji. Most everyone caught on that that emoji is used to depict big booties and sent in songs related to that. This may not apply to every emoji but do keep that in mind when selecting tracks. There are no explanations this round. Your songs will speak for themselves like in the pre-merge rounds. For that reason, it's best not to be super mysterious this round. That doesn't mean you can't do something a little different for a emoji, but your song should still be clearly related to the emoji depicted. All we need you to do is submit 5 songs (song/artist) WITH the Spotify links for each one, making it clear which song applies to which emoji. Don't format at all because we will be formatting this round like the MC round where each of your songs is posted along your fellow castaway's songs for that portion. You may see an emoji and think you have the perfect song in mind for that specific emoji. Well, you may only submit your entry with all five tracks chosen. This is to avoid you all rushing to submit one song you want for sure and then compiling the rest of your tracks later. And no, this doesn't mean you can submit 4 random tracks with your one desired track snuck in there. We will notice. Once you submit your tracks, we will get back to you to inform you if you're cleared or if you need to change a song because another contestant already took it. The Power of Love - Brilliant. 2. Tie the Knot (Micah & Torri) - This one is on-the-nose, but the song heavily relies on the “tying the knot” metaphor, so it’s a little smarter. 3. Tie It Up - Fine. 4. Naughty Girl - “The Power of Love”, but more sex-driven. 5. Tie the Knot (Jesse McCartney) - Meh. This one’s less about the “knot” metaphor. Gateau 1. Naughty Girl - I love the kind of BDSM twist this emoji puts on the song. Knotty girl lololol 2. Can’t Help Falling in Love - Not only was this song perfect lyrically, it captured the vibe of the emoji… just falling and there’s nothing you can do about it. 2. Can’t Feel My Face - Really clever. He’s high and loving it because he can’t feel any emotions. It goes perfectly with the melting smile emoji. 3. Crush - Another clever one. 4. Too Darn Hot - I mean... I guess. But he’s not melting since he won’t do anything because of the heat. 5. Meltdown - The song and the emoji only had the word “melt” in common, for me. Gateau 1. Meltdown - Ummmm are the other judges like on glue or something? The song is clearly about putting on a facade of happiness while dying inside, which this emoji is… literally doing? Rubberneckin’ - Great. 2. Afraid - Really good. The emoji’s kinda sleeping with one eye open. 3. Peek-a-Boo - Boring on-the-nose. 4. Disturbia - I mean kinda… the song’s more about action than just sitting there peeking and waiting for something to happen. 5. Morbid Curiousity - Um. No. The lyrics are so convoluted and they miss the mark outside of the “curiosity” line. Gateau 1. Morbid Curiosity - This is exactly how I interpreted the emoji.
