luckystrike Posted December 14, 2021 Author Posted December 14, 2021 #11 CHUNG HA - QUERENCIA QUERENCIA was most definitely my favorite KPOP release of the year, I got into CHUNG HA last year so this album definitely made me a fan instantly. It has some filler tracks here and there but the good tracks are stellar and I love to revisit every now and then. Trinity: Dream of You (with R3HAB), Stay Tonight, X Least favorite: All Night Long #10 Taylor Swift - evermore This came out in December 2020 I know, but I consider everything from December for the next year since I don't have enough time to get into it. Taylor's second appearance in my Top 15 albums this year! While evermore is way inferior to folklore, it still manages to be a good sister album and it gives such different vibes. Trinity: tolerate it, willow, no body, no crime (feat. HAIM) Least favorite: closure . . . . . #8 Alina Baraz - Moongate The second EP released by Alina this year, she is one of my favorite artists ever, something about her music just moves me a lot and this year she didn't let me down. Moongate however, was my least favorite of the 2 EPs spoiler: so you can expect Sunbeam later on this list, and also my least favorite Alina project ever, it kinda felt like a few scraps she found and decided to make into a second EP, which I'm not gonna complain about because it still has that Alina special element that I love, it just wasn't anything spectacular. Favorite: Maze Least favorite: No Interference . . . . . #40 - #36 #40. Rita Ora - "Bang Bang" #39. Rebecca Black - "Worth It For the Feeling" #38. Tinashe - "I Can See the Future" #37. Saweetie - "Fast (Motion)" #36. Doja Cat - "You Right (feat. The Weeknd)"
dreamofyou Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 not everyone calling evermore inferior to folklore but at least it's at #10

I loved Petals for Armor too, but sadly Flowers for Vases doesn't do much for me. My Limba and Just a Lover were really good tho spill on everything!!, so excited for the Kick tbh On 12/13/2021 at 2:56 PM, TheWayWeWere said: I never cared about Fearless original, so TV was such a discovery for me Foxes looking forward for The Kick tho, since I don't really liked FITC Best Friend and Willow FTV was such an improvement tbh On 12/13/2021 at 3:48 PM, ATRL Username said: Best Friend is such a bop! t king On 12/13/2021 at 3:51 PM, dangerousalex said: burn and best friend On 12/13/2021 at 3:53 PM, Sempiternal said: Taylor, Halsey & foxes taste! 23 hours ago, JGibson said: willow 23 hours ago, dreamofyou said: star-crossed track so iconic - also willow & happier also the best day ur least fave on fearless? n e wayz I never liked it 22 hours ago, K$Ellie said: Star Crossed was a weird single but its such a good opener hate Best Friend tho!!! I was so happy and excited when star-crossed (the song) was released and it made me look forward to the album (despite some of the critics panning it even tho they were right in the end). Well at least someone appreciates happier here! willow aged really well, it's better than cardigan now x Red much better, stay tuned hehe 21 hours ago, hofork said: yassstie with Fearless at #13!!! I agree I like it even more than the original! yasss bestie 20 hours ago, Mr. Blue_Shirt said: Fearless is always very close to my heart and hearing her new vocals in the re-recording feels very earworm and giving new perspective of current Taylor . Kinda like a track like "Fifteen" that feels like she sang from a prespective of older sister who's giving advice to her younger sister But Red (TV) fault tracks are much superior than Fearless (TV) oop spill 17 hours ago, kiiwii said: friends in the corner was cute, but i can see why it fell flat. def some duds on there, but i enjoyed your faves on it too star-crossed is a nice opening track tbh! taste! 16 hours ago, Mr. Loco said: Fearless TV is actually a great remake, I really liked it! willow also making it into the top 50 10 hours ago, Lazuli said: fearless TV at #13 i see u stan come in with the rain tho! flowers for vases not as great as petals for armor but its really good for what it is star-crossed, willow, best friend, happier PFA was soo immaculate for me 7 hours ago, Sunderland 4ever said: The three songs I like having their names starting with a low-case letter. dddd these girls 1 hour ago, Hug said: star-crossed floored me on first listen. Absolutely stunning. 100% deserves mention. Also think willow is one of Taylor's best leads, if not the most...irrelevant? Like all Taylor leads are events ofc, but I think compared to her others it's just there. yeah its very irrelevant but still very cute :shy: 1 hour ago, Moonlightbae said: Better Mistakes was a great album overall, BMHM is actually one of my faves star-crossed also an incredible album, it might not feel special as GH but it's good. Fearless TV and Friends in the Corner were cute. star crossed, happier and willow are pretty I hate the lyrics on BMHM but sonically its not bad tbh
Moonlightbae Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Folklore kinda overshadowed Evermore for me but it's still a really good album. Bang Bang is A BOP that I'm surprised to see this high I Can See The Future and You Right are excellent.
K$Ellie Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Querencia had some bops, I agree with your standouts Moongate was great but I agree Sunbeam was better same thoughts on evermore as well, great album even if folklore was better You Right was always one of my faves on Planet Her so I'm glad it finally caught on
Tom Vercetti Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Love I Can See The Future. Pretty underrated. You Right also my fave doja cat single

Ewan Chaos Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Rebecca & Tinasha's picks are great Tho not my favorites from their respective projects
TheWayWeWere Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Bang Bang should've been a single You Right
Kinich Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Yes Chungha! The trinity for the album is such a slay as well! I actually like all of the songs in this update especially You Right (deserved way way better!)
Lazuli Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 querencia is cute but i think it didn't live up to its expectations (and the lead up to the album was kinda a mess) evermore i'm gonna ignore u calling it WAY inferior than folklore and you putting GODsure in your least favourites tho you right
BlackoutZone Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Querencia sadly wasn't as good as I hoped it would be, but the highlights carried! Kinda same for evermore I Can See The Future amazing song, like whole 333
Alex Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Moongate so fkning good. Alina ALWAYS knows what she's doing. The songs update is impeccable and rebecca black
Tinashegrande6 Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 (edited) ICSTF is great, it's a quintessential Tinashe track People dragged for releasing Fast (Motion) but idc it's a whole bop. I thought the Axel F sample in Bang Bang was weird at first but it actually kinda works? Edited December 15, 2021 by Tinashegrande6
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 15, 2021 ATRL Moderator Posted December 15, 2021 chung ha snapped on stay tonight. cute album in general I actually preferred moongate to sunbeam but sunbeam has some growers songs... happy to see fast (motion) feels underrated
Hug Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Querencia good album yeah. Dream of You 100% a standout and probably still my favorite song of hers along with Roller Coaster. evermore also not bad even if it's not my taste for the most part. I think I liked it more than folklore f Bang Bang really could've made more noise with some push I think, but oh well.

luckystrike Posted December 16, 2021 Author Posted December 16, 2021 #9 Aly & AJ - a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun This album is sooo consistent from start to finish, the vibes are very pretty and I loved the approach they went for after serving Synth Pop excellence in the EP days, the only issue with this album is that it aged a bit with time, it was higher on my list until I relistened a couple days ago and some songs didn't hit as they used to, but still definitely a great piece of work. Trinity: Personal Cathedrals, Symptom of Your Touch, Don't Need Nothing Least favorite: Lucky to Get Him #8 Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever I think this was such a stunning career move for Billie, the growth and maturity she showcased with this album is huge. At the beginning I didn't like most of the pre released singles but they grew on m after he album release and I ended up with a very solid album. Trinity: Happier Than Ever, Billie Bossa Nova, Oxytocin Least favorite: Not My Responsibility . . . . . #7 Jorja Smith - Be Right Back I've never been into Jorja so this EP definitely took me by surprise, at the beginning I didn't like it a lot but it grew on me after a few listens, it really has such a great vibe and it's a great listen. Favorites: Burn, Addicted, Bussdown Least favorite: Time . . . . . #35 - #31 #35. Chlöe - "Have Mercy" #34. Selena Gomez - "Baila Conmigo (feat. Rauw Alejandro)" #33. Aliie X - "Private Life" #32. Olivia Rodrigo - "good 4 u" #31. Troye Sivan - "could cry just thinkin about you"

Kinich Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 The back-to-back slayage for the albums list I'm so happy Aly & AJ moved on from their synthpop phase and gave us the masterpiece that was aotbgyuoyfgoatits Billie actually outdoing her debut with happier than ever, her sophomore having more replayabilty value Have Mercy and Good 4 U are my faves from the songs list, both bops!
