I didn't listen to this Snoh album but it's getting a good amount of love and I thought her last album was cute. Maybe I should add it to my listen to list...

Top 5 Best Songs of the Year

vsOhP5B.gif

Billie gave us exactly what we needed with the rock-alternative smash. Got chills the first time I heard it, because everyone who's been in a toxic relationship can RELATE to what she's saying. Definitely will go down as one of her best songs ever.

This amazing songggg It's really just another effortless slay from the vocal goddess Kali Uchis. So glad she finally managed to get a hit, this song definitely deserves it.

Sample version only of course*! It's a shame whoever sabotaged miss Bree with sample issues over this Hot Girl Summer BANGER but it remains another bop to add to her discography. Bree Runway remains the future! If u agree click here xoxo

This beautiful beautiful song! I love it so much, definitely what we needed during times like these...

Please give us the album.

and Song of the Year goes to...

:1stplace:

  Reveal hidden contents

OBhhvZS.gif

A masterclass on how to keep cadence, delivery and WIT on 10/10 over a simple loop. Doja Cat proved that she has it all with "Need to Know" and quite frankly put, no one else could pull this off as well as Doja did. Period. It's definitely THE song of the year.

newwww update!

2021 brought us the conclusion of Tkay Maidza’s Last Year Was Weird trilogy and Volume 3 is the perfect ending note. Although it doesn’t reach the incredible chaotic and climax of Volume 2, it offers a new, vulnerable perspective which actually makes sense when taking the whole series into consideration.  However that doesn’t mean the project itself didn’t have it’s own audacious tracks that we all love Tkay for, such as "Syrup" and "Kim" feat. Baby Tate. Overall this project just confirmed to me that Tkay is in full control of her destiny.

We finally got to hear Madison Beer’s debut album in 2021 and the results did not disappoint. This debut is very enjoyable and cohesive and the lyricism isn’t half as bad as I expected. I think I’m one of the only people who actually enjoyed “Good in Goodbye” lol. My only complaint is the fact that the vocoder is a bit overdone on multiple songs which can wear the album out quick. Also, it’s worth mentioning that she attempted to give us a concept for the album with the visuals but completely abandoned it after Good in Goodbye! The cherry on the cake would’ve been if she continued to work and own the concept she was initially envisioning. Overall, Life Support is a great introduction for Madison Beer.

I can't believe the amount of people who said they don't know either project.. y'all are breaking this R&B fanatic's heart :shakeno:

Didn't really stan Snoh's album, but I adore Lost You

I have not heard Sunbeam but Moongate is gorjiss. Gonna have to listen to the former I guess!

Snoh's album had to grow on me, but yes Lost You is definitely THEE standout track. Stunning. Also her "DO 4 LOVE" cover on Spotify is divine...

and yes you absolutely need to!

I might get into Snoh later too

Alina is not hitting me still, but she aint bad

exactly :clap3: Snoh's great, seek her out I'm sure you'll enjoy something from the album.

Alina's EPs were definitely slow burners. She can never do wrong though!

Legend Tkay :alexz: It's not anywhere as good as Vol. 2 but it's still really good and brings the bangers

Posted

Agree about Tkay write up, she just continues to do her thing and it works :clap3: I might not listen to her a lot, but each time I come across her new music it's just good

Also very true about Madison. Life Support, at least, is a solid ground set for a nice career for her, but she can't fuck it up and only go up from here! Time will show if she does

Posted

Life Support was a bit underwhelming, but I love her vision and conception :clap3:

Posted

Snoh :clap3: I felt the same way too. First time where I reeeeally enjoyed an album from her. She's always had a great voice and lyrics but the production was superb!

I gave a check to Madison Beer. Nice wordplay with the ordinal numbers on Emotional Bruises.

I don't know either of these :frown: Just kidding kiii. I'm not really an R&B hoe... but I did get into Tkay last year! Vol 3 was good. It's funny that I've seen EVERYONE say Vol 2 was superior. And I would agree!

life support:clap3: hope her second album blows me away a bit more, life support kinda fell flat after such a long wait

Posted

i listened to Tkay's Vol 3 once, but i honestly dont remember much of it :rip: i'll re-visit eventually nnn

life support :clap3:might be the highest i've seen it placed on a list, but it's indeed a solid album! baby in your highlights :jamming:

Heaux Tales was actually my first introduction to Jazmine, yes I’m showing my age here, but I’m so glad I decided to tune in. The project is just simply amazing and Jazmine just reminded everyone that she can SING. The fact this EP was just supposed to hold the fans over until the “real” album and still performed as well as it did for her is crazy! I’m very glad she got the well deserved recognition for this EP. That being said, I’m extremely excited for her next album.

Pinkpantheress’ debut mixtape is short, sweet and straight to the point. Infamous for her inability to make a song more than 2 minutes and 30 seconds long, Pinkpantheress gives the world a teaser of all the greatness she’s capable of. All I know is this project is excellent and she has a super bright future ahead of her.

these are two projects in need to get into (it, yuh):chick1:

If there's one thing that I know about Tkay, it's that she stays consistent :clap3:

and yes Madison needs to step away from the ballads and give us more unapologetic bops.

yeah I can definitely see why some people were annoyed when the album was basically done in 2019.

I’ve been seeing Jasmine high on so many lists. I need to listen to that alberm tbh

Jazmie was cute! PinkPantheress redefined the meaning of "short" :santa: but we love her!

Heaux Tales is a masterpiece :jonny5: I hope you're going to listen her previous records, especially Reality Show and Love Me Back :alexz:

vrrev; I also didn't like these two that much :'( I really really hate the short songs trend as seen on PinkPantheress' project
