witness1.3 Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Déjà vu, Smokin Out The Window, Happier Than Ever, Need to Know, Kiss Me More, Good Days
Remmy Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Damn, none of the top 5 is really for me #5+4 are from artists I don't like, simply not into #3 and #1, and then Kiss Me More is just alright but it's not a song I'd seek out myself. Ready to see what's on these remaining lists!
Mr. Loco Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Kiss me more is a classic already Didn't even know Montero CMBYN had an extended version Agree the original is a bop tho
Ewan Chaos Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 10-6: the back-to-back of Transparent Soul, Smokin Out the Window, and Happier Than Ever AND IN THAT ORDER YOU SNAPPED 5-1: Yeah I hate Bieber for sure, but Peaches is actually good, so I'm happy for the other two lads that it's been doing well. Cute #1 as well!
OreGuy Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 OKAY WAIT WITH NEED TO KNOW AND MONTERO CLEANING THE TOP 5 Justin is too hgih
Tinashegrande6 Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Doja and SZA occupying the top 3 spots as they should Montero and Deja Vu are both solid bops! I completely forgot about the Jonas Brothers x Marshmello collab! Very generic but in the right way

Rauw Alejandro - Todo De Ti love to see this 46. Latto - Big Energy I discovered this two weeks ago but it's such a BOP, would've been a #1 with miss Doja on it 40. Anne Marie x KSI x Digital Farm Animals - Dont Play Lovely UK bop. Left it out of my list but it actually was in my most listened top 50 39. Demi Lovato - The Art of Starting Over heard this at the Mall today a cute bop, maybe it deserved better 35. Maneskin - Beggin Yes italian excellence 27. BeBe Rexha - Sacrifice Ended Chromatica 25. Maroon 5 f/ Megan Thee Stallion - Beautiful Mistaked Generic perfection yes 22. Rita Ora x Imanbek f/ David Guetta & Gunna - Big Rita didn't do it for me this year she peaked in 2018 I fear 14. Halsey - honey I kinda slept on this because it's good but I simply forgot about it, definitely the best on that boring album. Ngl she let me down this year 12. Kanye West - Hurricane The best song on DONDA indeed and yes Abel deserved his credit 11. Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits Cute bop indeed. I kinda hate how now that I like his music he became less successful Amazing picks for the top 10 I like every song, you know already which are my faves! Exactly Anyway a great countdown but we're not surprised see you in 2022 with Shirt as the #1 The way we had so much overlap this year (and the prior one ). Our mutual taste is too powerful, I fear Shirt will be battling the R9 lead as our #1 20 hours ago, GreatestLoveofAll said: LOVE this song. TalkThatRihanna Posted December 22, 2021 Author Posted December 22, 2021 Before I post my Best + Worst Albums list in the next few days, I wanted to do a lil bonus round of some “Old” bops I discovered in 2021! (“Old” meaning 2020 And earlier) Tiwa Savage - Attention (2019) •Genre: Dance-Hall, Pop I discovered this BOP from the show “Sex Education” and instantly loved it It has an island-tropical vibe (Think the pop songs on Drake’s “Views”) Danity Kane - Damaged (2009) • Genre: Dance-pop, electro pop, R&B I know some of y’all will drag me for not knowing this prior, but honestly I was young when this came out and definitely not in the stan music world at that time Anyways, this is a total BOP! This is how a girl group song should be The harmonies, melodies, runs, ad-libs... TALENT. Too bad Diddy ruined it with the outro Sonny Fodera & Ella Eyre - Wired (2020) •Genre: Deep-house, EDM This is so UK-sounding EDM and I live for it! Even Ella’s voice screams UK-sounding. She has such a powerful voice and the drop is great as well Anyone who loves UK House music, will like this! Adele - Daydreamer (2008) •Genre: Singer-songwriter, Soul I honestly never listened to Adele’s 2009 mixtape before. However, I came across this song this year and instantly liked it The instrumental is just beautiful. Gives me the coffee-shop vibes I love Brandy - Sittin Up In My Room (1995) •Genre: R&B Now this was released before I was born nnn. But I came across it this year and it sounds like an R&B Classic! Exactly the type of R&B I love. I should honestly get more into her music Aimee Mann - Save Me (1999) •Genre: Singer-songwriter, soul Another song I discovered from “Sex Education”. It has more of a rainy coffee-shop vibe as well and the artist’s voice is beautiful PUBLIC - Make You Mine (2019) Genre: Alternative-pop, soft rock This is more of the alternative-pop sound and sounds like it could’ve been a crossover pop hit, or even used in a commercial. The guitar is cute SZA - Julia (2014) Genre: Dance-pop, 80’s pop, synthpop Now I know I’m a HUGE fan of SZA but honestly I never listened to her pre-CTRL music. I came across this song and I am gagged that she actually made a pop 80’s sounding song like this She sounds amazing doing any genre and was years ahead of the 80s revival Liv Dawson - I Like You (2018) •Genre: Pop This is honestly just a generic pop song, but the chorus is incredibly catchy. I played it a lot this year as well so I decided to include it
TheWayWeWere Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Daydreamer 19 is full of great jams it's so underrated Wired probably the last time I liked Ella's music after her debut Julia
BlackoutZone Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Danity Kane iconic Daydreamer one of Adele's most beautiful deep cuts
K$Ellie Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 oh wow Doja and SZA both having 2 songs in the top 3, deserved Happier Than Ever in the top 10 excellent song Need To Know and transparent soul were also great choices

Mark Rih Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 Ahh yes Julia a classic. I went back to Z too, she leaves us starving so that’s what we have to do
D/X Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 I remember that Danity Kane song being MASSIVE here in ATRL back in the day.

TalkThatRihanna Posted December 24, 2021 Author Posted December 24, 2021 Honestly, I tried coming up with 10 of my favorite album for the year and... I couldn’t This year was just a letdown. So I guess I’ll list some albums I enjoyed? I did have a clear #1 and #2 tho I’ll be listing my favorite 5 songs, and my least favorite 3 songs. Favorite (?) Albums Of 2021 Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR I mean the album isn’t amazing, but it’s better than I thought it would be! The opening is so iconic with the way it just takes you by surprise. Sadly, there are some really boring ballads on here nn Best Tracks: Deja Vu Traitor Brutal Jealousy x2 Hope ur ok Worst Tracks: enough for you 1 step forward, 3 steps back Happier Adele - 30 It was better than I thought, so let’s celebrate that! As a whole it’s cohesive and tells a story. There some really great throwback moments on here which I live for but also quite a few fillers. Also the upbeat tracks are just awful. Now that I’m thinking about it, it’s hard for me to even pick 5 favorites Best Tracks: To Be Loved Love is a Game Strangers By Nature EZ on Me Cry Your Heart Out Worst Tracks: Can I Get It Hold On Woman Like Me Justin Bieber - Justice I don’t use this as an album, but rather as a collection of some bops It’s 100x better than Changes, but still not near the pop perfection of Purpose. I guess we can thank Jon Bellion for some of the bops Best Tracks: Deserve You Hold On Peaches Ghost Anyone Worst Tracks: MLK Interlude (the disrespect ) Love You Different Lonely Billie Eilish- Happier Than Ever Ms. Eilish did not disappoint on her sophomore album She sounds grown, and I’m happy she didn’t repeat her debut sound entirely. But again, there are too many boring fillers on here for me to actually enjoy a full sit through. Luckily, the highs of this album far outweighs the snoozes Best Tracks: Billie Bossa Nova Getting Older Happier Than Ever NDA My future Worst Tracks: Goldwing Everybody Dies Male Fantasy ——- OKAY, now that that’s out of the way... Top 3 Albums of the year 3. Alessia Cara - In The Meantime I’ve never been a fan of her but I really loved this album It has amazing vibes on it and she finally found her sound. The pop/alternative, synth-pop and throwback sound really suits her voice. Too bad her best work is her biggest flop Best Tracks: You Let Me Down Find My Boy Apartment Song Bluebird I Miss You, Don’t Call Me Worst Tracks: Best Days Clockwork Fishbowl 2. Doja Cat - Planet Her Doja came out SWINGING with this album Such a step up from Hot Pink which also was amazing! The amount of bops on here The singing, the rapping, the animated voices, the TALENT! Nuff said Best Tracks: Kiss Me More Need To Know Woman Love to Dream Get Into It Yuh Worst Tracks: Been Like This Options Alone AND THE #1 ALBUM OF 2021: . . . 1. Summer Walker - Still Over It Easily my favorite, and the BEST album of the year The way Summer made an instant classic as a follow up to an already amazing Debut The album has so many tracks but yet the only filler are the interludes I can play this album in order or in shuffle, and it is just an amazing listen. The lyrics, the harmonies, the melodies, the adlibs...No I don’t think you understand, I’m obsessed Best Tracks: 4th Baby Mama Dat Right There No Love Throw It Away Toxic Worst Tracks: Unloyal Screwin Ciara’s Prayer See y’all in the next day or so for the final update: Top 10 Worst Albums of 2021
