Adele is the first new entry in over 4 years (unless the entry she knocked off was after 2017, not sure what it was)

 

Edit: nvm as a user pointed out below, Lover should be on this list.

25 having 3 separate weeks where it hit 1M-mark + overall 5 weeks where it hit 500k-mark. Incredibly impressive! :jonny4:

I can't tell if this is being sarcastic lol, but he said "So, 4 years since I last posted this list of the biggest traditional album sales weeks since SoundScan (now MRC data) began tracking sales back in 1991 - Adele's new album comes in at #79" so the list is fully updated until 2017.

And 21 sold more than all of them, except Beatles #1s, with only 1 wk in the Top 100 sales weeks & I think only 1 wk > 500k in its entire 11 year chart life.

Yeah the biggest week was 730k the week after Grammys 2012. When the album was 1 year old.

2nd biggest week was xmas 2011 with 399k

actually its pure sales are only behind the bodyguard's if we are going according to this list.
