I guess we could title Adele returns to earth. Maybe not even a Hello type of comeback could have locked a 1 million debut and honestly I dont think Hello was the sole responsibile of 25's debut. 21 and 25 are just events or lighting in a bottle, 800k still is big debut especially with a really booooring album.

It's already the album with biggest pure sales of the year (surpassing Evermore's 462k). I haven't bought a physical album since 25 (digitals though. I'll go buy 30 Wednesday nite to get it on this tracking period.

The number is not bad at all consider its already the best for 2021 but now Adele can be in the same leauge with Taylor and Drake instead of above them like in 21 25.

 

21 25 was titan while Taylor and Drake doesnt sold like those but they have other metrics and multiple smash eras to make up for it.

 

Good to see The trinity success of the 2010s still slaying Taylor, Drake, Adele.

It’s the streaming numbers that are the most shocking to me. Pure sales are massive and expected for Adele but her Spotify numbers are just not good. Which is weird because EOM’s numbers were good. I think it’ll exceed predictions though.

The fans who were going to buy the album did so in the first day or two and the residual purchases will not come close to matching that. I would be astounded if this album does over 700k pure (realistically 625k-650k but I'll be lenient). And, if I'm not mistaken, HDD's 500k tally was for physical sales only.

Nope. They predicted 500k physical sales first week and 300-350k from TEA+SEA+digital copies and she ain't touching 300k SEA so

This was back in July of 2020 when they reported Folklore sales.... Taylor sold 400k in pure sales on its first 3 days and finished the week with 615k....

 

I think Adele will def beat that mark (not sure if by a lot because Thanksgiving will make her lose one day of sales) but I think 675k-700k in pure sales is doable.
