Not her doing only 200K more than Taylor’s 9 years old re-recording :rip:

This is what you get when you have all that hype and release a lackluster album :sistrens:

Considering what the labels expectations were, yeah they kinda did

Not at all.

No label ships 1.7M albums in total and expect them to sell out in the first week?

Usually it takes months for the shipped amount to be sold.

I'm really sad for her. The people is here are ruthless. :doc:

the worst insult here was calling her a flop (which we objectively know she isn't). while in taylor threads there's real insults thrown her way..

Not when 30 will outsell her last three efforts. Boo boo

Lover has spent well over 2 years in the top 100 and 25 didn't even make it to 200 weeks, so I'm not sure if this is the case

Edit: oh, and I forgot folklore has spent almost its entire first year in the top 40, so :gaycat6:

The vinyls are gonna end up being her 500K foil copies

It's so funny how these huge numbers are an absolute disaster to her standards :deadbanana4:

Not people dragging 800k 1st week debut :bibliahh:

it's still a -75% decline, she was meant to do at least 2M with ease

Amazing numbers... 500K only with physicals?! Crazy stuff.

I believe this number will go up as during the week like Red TV did

No 2M was unreasonable, but I really thought 1M at the least and on the top end 1.5-1.7

but still 850k is better than anyone else

800k is objectively ****ing massive…

But… (as much as I hate to say it) for Adele this IS a slight underperformance.

amazing numbers, but not amazing enough to warrant another 5/6 years off. But she have never cared about commercial success much, So I am curious if she will release "33" or go with her rhythm and release 36

From 3,5M to 800k she is over

If she does less than foklore  :rip:

Well it's eligible for 3 times platinum in the US, something that basically no other female album since can claim :cm:

And this week it moved 16k units, which is a lot better than quite a few 2019 albums (especially considering that Taylor has released 4 albums since then)

Oh pls!

It's wayyyyy more impressive when Taylor does it because of how frequently she releases, and not to mention now she's re-releasing old albums and still getting phenomenal numbers.

Adele releases once or twice each decade and has bigger hype each time than any other artist, so there's no reason why she isn't hitting at least 1M+.

These numbers are beyond underwhelming, and there's no other way to spin it.

You should touch some grass honestly

Good for her. Adele will outsell it (WW figures) by January. :jonny2:

Y'all are so :deadbanana2: literally no one is probably hitting these #s again (except maaaybe Taylor).

what are they gonna do with those 1.5m physical albums they produced :skull:

I bet this is why they had those aggressive discounts already at that Barnes and Noble :deadbanana4:

They can burn them!

I refuse to accept the average IQ in this thread.

Everybody using bundles as the reasoning for the massive drop. Folklore did 800k+. Red did 600k. Explain to me why Adele is having a 2.2M drop in sales while Tay had a 200k drop? The logic here doesn't even make sense.

this is lesson for OTH's.

I think she will still reach 1 million mark first week. HDD is probably just lowballing her, just like their initial Red TV’s 450k prediction. :giraffe:
