No different than when fanbases would get together and buy singles on iTunes and have gifting parties in order to get their faves to debut at number 1. It’s jealousy I fear…crying in poor. I don’t like the song and I haven’t liked their last couple of songs since Boy With Luv but bitching about the fans actually spending money on their artists instead of wondering why their faves are flopping with alleged large fanbases who won’t buy their music is a choice.

DanyelP23 Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 If I would change something about how Hot100 is calculated, for streaming for example I would quantify more streams that come from someone searching a song on an artist's Spotify's page rather than a stream getting there from playlisting (think TTH), I would quantify LESS radio play as it is full of payola anyways and for website sales I would accept 1 or two sales per person per version of the song, not 4.* But honestly, I believe like fans mass organizing to get their faves to remain at number 1 is bad because it makes the label lazy. I feel like if labels invest in havim\ng their clients go do more radio shows, interviews and performances is how you get the "GeePee" on your side (by having ur music shoved down their throats - and went it comes to pop music they will always ultimately eat it up) Also, I like BTS, but I'm tired of this whole Bruno Mars-esque vocals / Taylor Swift Lover visuals they're kind of pulling. I need another Fake Love/Black Swan for them in terms of visuals and a balad sung in Korean since english balads are so basic anyway in terms of new songs. Life Goes On for example made several points, even though the visual was lazy.
Butters Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 (edited) Good lord, the weekly moaning about an issue no one even knows about besides BTS stans and "online chart enthusiasts" Blame BILLBOARD for not changing their formula to better reflect the tastes of the broader public, and constantly bucking to Armies for website traffic. It really doesn't matter because the success of the songs that have been blocked by it have not been diminished in any way shape or form. The **** music will catch up to them in due time. A major publication is bound to do an expose, soon, though. Looking forward to it. Edited July 6, 2021 by Butters

The Hot 100 formula simply needs to be changed in a dramatic way. Until then, it's game on. This. It's not really fraud when website sales have always counted for the charts. Billboard just needs to switch up their formula to better reflect the most popular songs among the public but until then, there's nothing we can do.

spree Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 if its fraud, then every remix is fraudulent. What's the point of a remix if it isn't for the charts? Every collaboration is a fraud, every itunes discount is fraudulent, bundles are frauds, jockstraps are frauds, radio deals are frauds, Spotify playlists are frauds, etc. You get the picture.

Fixed it for you… There’s a reason why Hot100 discussion is the only one that always reaches 10s & 10s & 10s of pages when the other charts are barely ever discussed (except for the UK that might get to 5 page on a good week)
Broken Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 That KatyCLOWN who hides behind BTS . OT: The fraudulence.

Taylucifer Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 like i said on the other thread, they’re not fooling anyone but themselves. everybody knows that they’re just a bunch of frauds.
Shaner69 Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 (edited) It's totally a fraud because it's funded from other countries in a massive way. It's like having an election and letting other people vote from other countries. Then letting people vote multiple times in the same country as one person to the point its obvious. What makes it worse they are not even hiding it. It's like billboard is acting like TRUMP. They ignore what they don't want to see even though it's right there. Expect this is actually Fake News. It's just kinda sad to see the charts ruined by a song that no one outside of their fanbase knows. Like have you ever heard anyone mention Butter that wasn't super in-tune to BTS? I'm not even a big Olivia fan but it's been stealing all these weeks from good 4 u when everyone is STILL talking about g4u weeks after release. The album keeps going back to #1 on the BB200 thanks to Olivia's unprecedented streams yet some website sales are giving them the #1. It's times like these where I'm glad the GP does not look at charts.

Namie-Knowles Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 It's a fraud #1 but who cares. Let Army's think what they want. No one will care 5 years from now or know the song. I don't get why constantly drag them for something we all know is a sham.
