It's now time to reveal the first of two major twists this season...

 

LUNAR PHASES

 

 

 

After our sun-themed season 11, the queen of THIS season is our iconic moon. Each month, the moon circles around the earth, illuminated from various angles. The different ~shapes~ of the moon are classified as lunar phases. Every few days, a new lunar phase is at its peak. 

 

We will be following the phases of the moon as she revolves around us over the next month. Every three or four days, we will reach a new phase, and you will have the opportunity to compete for rewards/advantages. Only NON-elimination challenges or prize-granting twists will be held on these days. Participating is optional, but to your benefit! You can not go home, and it will give everyone some days to breathe throughout the season.

 

Here are the approximate dates of each lunar phase - if we need to amend them slightly, we will:

 

New Moon - July 10th

Waxing Crescent - July 14th

First Quarter  - July 17th

Waxing Gibbous - July 20th

Full Moon - July 24th

Waning Gibbous - July 27th

Last Quarter - July 31st

Waning Crescent - August 4th

The first lunar phase reward challenge will be posted at 9 PM EDT on Saturday, July 10th! Think of it as a warm up.
